  • "Super cottage to stay in for my wife and i and our pet dog."

The owners Will and Dianne are very approachable and have in-depth knowledge about the island and places to see. The cottage is big and is set in extensive gardens with a pond and river running through which you are free to wander round. A great base to explore the island with no coastal resort being more than 30 minutes away. Overall a super place to stay and we would not think twice about returning.

The location was perfect & the owners are the nicest people, that made us feel so welcome. The grounds are amazing & so tranquil & nowhere was out of bounds for us or our dog. We were just told to use as if our own. Couldn’t fault anything & I’m very picky. Wish we could have stayed longer.

It is well situated, nowhere on the island was more than 35 minutes away. It was warm, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. The bonus for us was the garden where we could safely let the dog run off lead. Happy to recommend

  • "We extended our break very last minute and Will and Diane couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating."

Such a wonderful location, the garden is perfect to spend time in and some days we didn’t need to go anywhere to feel like we had gone somewhere. Everything is provided and of a high standard, really cosy and comfortable. We always appreciate an info pack as it’s helpful to refer back to throughout the stay because we forget things upon arrival. Can’t recommend enough and looking forward to returning.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Falconers Cottage."

The water had a funny taste to it so we bought bottled water. We explained to the Landlord about this and he suggested that we run the taps for longer. They provide towels, Hairdryer and Utensils for the kitchen. Small touches like, putting milk in the fridge, oil, washing up liquid, scourers, Dishwasher tablets and cloths. Not to mention salt and pepper and sanitiser. Made our stay very pleasurable. Very quiet, so aids a restful sleep!

There is a pond and stream which divides the area. The cottage was very clean and contained just about everything necessary for a weeks stay. The directions to the cottage are spot on, and well worth following. We were met on site by Will and Dianne, the owners, and made to feel very welcome. A tour of the cottage and its equipment followed together with information about the local area. WE enjoyed our stay at Falconers Cottage and would return for another stay.
