  • "The location of the cottage is great."

The parking is a little awkward and we were asked to move our car by neighbours and told it was private land, even though we were advised to park there (small issue not the end of the world!). The garden is beautiful as is the log burners in the property. Sofa is incredibly uncomfortable but generally really enjoyed the stay and would come back again. The games and books left at the property for guests is a lovely touch. Happy guests!

Thanks so much for your lovely review. Rest assured you were parked in the correct parking space for the cottage. The space is quite tight here and I believe that our neighbour was simply struggling to get past. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "Lovely little peaceful cottage, had wifi, dab radio, smart YV, books, games, leaflets for things to and menu for local restaurants, good sized dog friendly garden well fenced which our dog loved, lovely comfy bed and nice big shower, loved having the fairy lights on in the evenings as it made it really cosy."

We only took our little car which was perfect for the lanes and parking space. We did use the open fire a couple of times which heated up the rooms lovely. We visited to beach roughly about 15 mins away which was excellent for the dog as we had such warm weather we couldn't keep her out for long. It was also lovely to not have to worry about her curling up on the sofa on an evening with her blanket. Overall brilliant little peaceful cottage with everything you need to getaway from the hustle & bustle.

We are delighted that you had such a fabulous holiday. Thank you so much for your feedback. Property Owner

! Quietly, we slept very well. We missed a coffee machine.... And the lid of the freezer compartment in the fridge was not manageable, therefore a lot of ice.... But that did not affect our stay! Thanks for being so kind! Rien and Jenny Bijl

  • "Snook’s Cottage Musty/dank smell throughout property especially in bedroom and inside kitchen cupboards."

Dusty throughout and especially dirty in corners. Cobwebs. Needs a good deep clean / vacuum. No vacuum available to do that. Dirty under furniture, under the bed, under the couch, on the clothes rail that was under the bed. Clumps of hair and dirt. Fireplace in lounge hadn’t been cleaned. Bedroom Musty especially around Fireplace. Bedroom drawer inserts sagging. No wardrobe, just a clothes rail. Skylight above bed - no black out so we were awake at 6.30am. Lounge area Fleece on couch still had dog hair over it. Wifi good and Netflix / smart tv mostly working well. A few times we had to wait a few seconds for buffering. Bathroom No bath mat Bathroom tap should be a mixer as hot water for hot tap is too hot. No toilet roll holder. Kitchen No freezer space for food. Tap a little too short overhanging sink making washing dishes awkward. No egg cups No coffee making facilities. Random Glasses and crockery could have done with a good dishwash. Again musty smelling. Teapot badly stained. Musty smell from all kitchen cupboards. Cupboard above cooker / hob steam damaged and beginning to sag. Electrical socket directly above the hob. This doesn’t conform to H&S recommendations. Cupboard under sink - evidence of mice. They are through our plastic containers of dog food. No recycling. And told not to recycle for the private bin collection. This is archaic. Outside Bench outside - damaged/broken. Outside table uncared for / damp, rotting. Uncleanable so couldn’t use it for eating food. Outbuildings in garden crumbling / piles of slates. Not appealing and in dangerous for children. Overall All a bit tired, unloved, unkempt and uncared for. A real shame for a cottage with such potential. This cottage could be beautiful.

  • "The only problem we had was the access to the cottage and that was due to our age, no parking by cottage made access very difficult ."

But it was one of the best holiday we have had. Lovely cottage, very private and a wonderful garden for us with pets. Could not of asked for better . Thank you

Thank you so much for your feedback. The country lanes are quite narrow. There is a car parking space for the cottage but it is just behind the building so there is a walk of a few metres around the building to get to the front door. Property Owner

  • "Wow, this cottage is beautiful, the garden is amazing and very large, our dogs loved having a look around, the cottage itself was lovely inside too, very comfortable, 2 log burners which really kept the place warm, although these weren’t needed most nights as we dropped on with the weather."

There are plenty of walks around for your furry friend although we opted to explore the area every day and had some amazing days out, everything is on your doorstep. I would 100% recommend this cottage, just watch your head on the front door

Ha ha! Yes the low front door can catch you out. It’s part of the charm of such an old cottage. We are so glad you chose to stay at Snook’s cottage and that you had such a lovely holiday. Property Owner

  • "Great cottage location to explore snowdonia, castles and beaches, the cottage would benefit from extra heating and the sky light in the bedroom a blind to stop the early morning light, the parking is not great and a couple of times we had to park on the road as the neighbours car was in the space."

The fan heater in the bathroom is in a place that if washing hands or brushing teeth is directly blowing into your face, there is also a plug socket near the sink in the Kitchen which in my opinion is far to close to the sink and could be an issue, certainly not up to current regs due to the closeness of an open water source. On a positive the 2 fires were great once we got the hang of lighting, the garden was great for our elderly springer (but would have benefitted from the grass being cut, weather permitting) A guest book would have been good to read through for restaurant and things to do tips, we found Llandudno a great place for restaurants. Would we stay again? Yes for the location

We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. We are continually striving to improve and want all of our guests to have the best experience possible. Please be assured that the cottage was only recently renovated and has full electrical safety certification. Thank you for staying at Snook's Cottage and we look forward to seeing you again. • "We really enjoyed our stay at Snook’s Cottage, it’s ideally situated to explore the Snowdonia National Park & Angelsey."

The cottage was well equipped and warm. The only down side was we didn’t appreciate how close it is to the main road so you can always hear traffic. There was a minor problem with rubbish collection, the bins hadn’t been emptied inside the property and recycling hadn’t been emptied making it difficult to get more in. I’d remind people to remember to bring toilet paper as there was none in the property. These are minor issues which we’ve let the owner know about and I’m sure they can be improved on.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for the feedback. Property Owner

  • "The recommendations of things to do in the area were great."

Cottage has a great location. The kitchen sink was tiny and it was difficult to wash up. It was very chilly inside the cottage during our visit in August, it's only this reason that I would not return to this cottage.

The cottage really is in such a beautiful part of North Wales with Snowdon and Anglesey so close by. It’s always disappointing when the weather spoils your time away. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. Property Owner

  • "Snooks cottage is off the beaten track and only accessible by car."

The cottage is beautiful and the owners had thought of everything to make you feel at home including treats for everyone, including the dog. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with log burners inside and out. The garden is amazing and so dog friendly. It is completely secure and has a brook running through it. The dog loved doing her daily zoomies around the garden. Would definitely recommend.

The garden is a real delight for our four legged friends. Thank you for your wonderful comments, we really do try to think of everything to make your stay the best it can be. We are very pleased to hear that you would recommend staying at Snook’s cottage. Property Owner

  • "Snook's cottage was full of character, in an excellent location for exploring Snowdonia, the North Wales coast and Anglesey."

The only downside was the vehicular access to the cottage. We had a small car and were able to drive/reverse in and out but always very close to the neighbours' cars, hedges and all the bins and plant pots. It was also noisy in the garden from the nearby busy road - but obviously the owners are not able to control this!! We are pleased we chose Snook's Cottage.

The location really is amazing isn’t it! We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at our cottage. Property Owner

  • "We enjoyed our stay at Snook’s Cottage."

The cottage is lovely with many traditional features. The garden was great for our dog. She loved the meadow area and the stream. We enjoyed the wildlife, especially the blue tits nesting in the tree in the middle of the garden. The cottage was cold but warmed up nicely with the fire, electric heater and electric blankets. The fairy lights made the living room cosy at night. Great location for visiting Snowdonia and Anglesey. Rural area but close to numerous supermarkets. The only negatives were that we were not provided with washing up liquid nor washing tabs plus the traffic noise from the A55. We would definitely recommend Snook’s Cottage.

  • "We enjoyed our stay at snooks cottage."

It was a lovely traditional Welsh cottage with some original features we we loved. Such as the open fires and tiles flooring open stone work on the walls. The beds were warm and comfy with the addition of the electric blankets which were fab! The fire in the bedroom was just so snug. Our dogs loved it. The garden was perfect for our two pugs although it’s not properly enclosed this wasn’t to much of an issue for our dogs. The only issue I really had , was the parking which was a bit tricky - just because the neighbours cars park so close to the top of the lane that’s it’s hard to reverse down or out. But we did so alls well that ends well! The location was great easy to access other areas in wales , we visited the slate mining village and had a great walk around the most stunning lake there! The views are outstanding and we loved the little gift shops. The ladies who worked there were friendly and helpful. Lastly a big thank you to Karen who kindly went out of her way to find our teddy which we forgot - Karen emailed me to let me know he was found and emailed again to let me know he had been posted safely back to us. If you like charm and original character properties with open fires then this is Perfect for you. Also the addition of fuel provided enough for our stay was most welcome.

  • "We had a lovely stay in the cottage, our Labrador loved the garden as it was plenty big enough for him to run around in."

It was enclosed enough for him but wouldn’t be good for any escape artists as it is only really half enclosed. Inside the cottage was nice and clean, rustic but modern. Would definitely stay again.

Thank-you for your lovely comments. Since your stay we have had farm gates fitted across the bottom of the driveway that will hopefully make the garden more secure for our four legged guests. We hope that you can return in the future and enjoy more of the cottage and it’s beautiful garden. Property Owner
