Barracks Cottage is set in a very peaceful area. The cottage is in a beautiful but very remote location so it's best to do a large shop at Bangor Tesco or Marks & Spencers. There's a small Waitrose at Beaumaris too. The nearby lighthouse and beach are well worth a visit with a £3 charge for the toll road and parking. Nice quaint cafe by the lighthouse, serving delicious cream teas amongst other things. Barracks Cottage has been renovated to a very high standard; very spacious and the views over the Menai are to die for. The main gate and driveway up to the cottage could do with a bit of attention as it's quite steep and difficult to navigate.

This property is part of the Menai Holidays collection.
Over 400 carefully selected and perfectly located properties, helping you create your perfect holiday.

Barrack’s Cottage is located in a position with stunning views, plenty of fabulous walks and a short drive to a bustling town.

The owner has brought Barrack’s Cottage back from a ruined Quarryman’s Barracks to how you see it today.

Even the detail of the bell tower being restored from the stone at Penmon Quarry is a delight to see.

We think it was used to que dinner time or chime for the end of shift.
