  • "Really comfortable house which didn’t disappoint ."

We were a party of 6 adults & 2 children so great layout with bedrooms and bathrooms . Kitchen a joy to cook in ,with adjoining utility space a bonus. Would love to visit in the summer when this house would really come into its own being so close to the beach, with an enclosed safe garden to enjoy by all the family and pets.

  • "Monfa is a lovely house in a great location, 5 minutes from the beach, and provided plenty of space for us all to enjoy our holiday."

The rooms were all lovely and the bathrooms were particularly spacious, having 3 toilets came in very handy. The outside space is nice and the bbq came in useful. We loved staying here and would definitely come back again.

  • "This is a wonderful house for us, a three generation extended family."

The position is perfect in a lovely town. The house was beautifully clean, comfortable and well stocked. Lovely welcome gifts as well. We had one small problem with the hot water, which was sorted out within an hour or two by Nia. We loved it so much we decided to book for 2024 before we finished our holiday. Thank you, Llyr and Nia

  • "We had a lovely stay at Monfa."

The house was great for our family needs. Plenty of room and gorgeous bathrooms., the roll top bath is amazing. On arrival there was a lovely welcome pack containing bread, milk, butter, eggs, fresh ground coffee, Welsh cakes. The house was very clean and had some lovely features. The owners and the housekeeper were extremely helpful and any request or query was answered quickly. They were so kind and helpful. This house is ideal for larger families and is situated very close to all amenities and the beach. I recommend staying at Monfa, and we will be booking again in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • "The property is in a wonderful position with the beach, a pub, a playarea, nice riverside walks and a local shop all in easy walking distance."

The area is fantastic and has so many nice beaches and lots to do (even on rainy days). On arrival the house was clean and the welcome goodies were a lovely touch. The house is big enough for 2 families to stay comfortably and a majoroty of spaces are lovely. However the dining room looks a little sparse and unloved and the bathroom grouting could do with a good scrub in the shower cubicles. External space is good and gets the sun for a majority of the day but the decking needs some attention in places.

The welcome pack was a lovely thought and we really enjoyed our stay here, would definitely stay here again.

A lovely comfortable clean home with so much room for all our extended family (huge bathrooms a bonus) and absolutely nothing was too much trouble for the owners, responding immediately to our queries. A beautiful location, plenty of parking ( a must for large families) will definitely be coming back again

  • "The Sky box in the living room didn't work."

We had 2 front door keys, 1 didn't work. The hot water times didn't suit our needs, by the time we'd walked our dog the boiler had knocked off. Other than that we really enjoyed the house. We would visit again.

Hi Rich, we're sorry that you had some issues with your stay. We had just installed a Hive system for the central heating the previous week and mustn't have left the hot water on permanently as we usually do. We always encourage our guests to get in touch with us to ensure that everything is in order, and would have have sorted the central heating and had a spare sky box up and running within a few hours. Although the two keys look very similar, one is for the front door and the other is for the rear. We would like the opportunity to demonstrate our sincerity and welcome you back to the house. • "My family and I stayed over the Christmas and New Years, 10 of us all together."

There was enough rooms and storage, which was helpful. The house and furnishings were lovely, the heating during this time and the fireplace were amazing. We had a couple of queries, which were swiftly sorted by either of the owners and the housekeeper. The owners and the housekeeper live locally, therefore we felt secure in getting things sorted in good time. The owners and housekeeper were also very lovely and accommodating. The area too, is a wonderful quaint place. It's a few mins walk to the river and a beach, you can also go on a trail walk, which has fantastic views. The locals are wonderfully kind, greeting us as we walked by - this doesn't happen much in inner cities. My family and I had a much needed rest and reset at this house and we are grateful for the hospitality. I would recommend for anyone who wants to get away, West Cemaes is perfect. I would also recommend this house, there is space for everyone. Just want to thank the owners and housekeepers for their kindness, we loved the stay!!!!!

If you want to do any other activities then you got a 30 minute to 1 hour drive and if you want any other take away that is also a 20 minute drive as none of them deliver but still a great place to go and visit

  • "Our extended family had an absolutely wonderful 4/5 days staying at Monfa in Cemaes."

The house is beautiful and there is plenty of space (there were 7 of us staying). Two of our party were in their 80's and so the fact that it was such a short distance to the beach and shops was totally ideal. We chatted to Lynne who sorts the cleaning and many of the locals who could not have been more helpful and friendly. We loved the shop with all the different crafts from local people and the launderette with the fantastic Mon hoodies. Plus we made good use of the Spar and fish and chip shop and the pubs. There is still much more to do and we hope to be back next year. Thank you so much to the owners, we had the loveliest time.

  • "Two families of four and a grandparent stayed for two nights at Monfa, the house was clean, tidy, well equipped and as described."

Perfect for the number staying, only suggestion maybe changing the single room bed to a double if possible, but that’s being picky ! The owner was really helpful and couldn’t do enough to accommodate, excellent communication and nothing seemed too much trouble. In terms of location, it’s fantastic. The beach is literally two minutes away and a stunning part of Anglesey. Plenty of walks and things to do around the local area as well. We ate at the newly refurbished Gadly’s hotel and restaurant, which is within walking distance (not with young children though), it was very nice. The pubs in the village are pleasant enough and there are local shops for bits and bobs too. I’d definitely recommend and are hopefully planning to go back in the future.

  • "The house was lovely and spacious, well equipped and the Welcome Pack was much appreciated."

My husband and I stayed with our Son, Daughter in Law and two grandchildren aged 1 & 3. The garden was a safe play area for the children and the lounge provided plenty of space for their toys. The bathrooms were bright and spacious, one had a bath as well as a shower. The kitchen was well equipped and had a large American style fridge freezer. The house was in an ideal location in the High Street with a childrens play park nearby and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. The High Street consisted of only a few shops including a fish and chip shop and a local convenience store. There were a couple of pubs but unfortunately we didn't get the opportunity to try them. The beach itself was ideal, a sheltered bay, rocky in places but with lots of sand to relax and play on, especially at low tide. It was also great for the children as the sea was shallow which made it great for paddling.
