  • "Lovely cottage in a lovely location."

Had everything we needed for a perfect family weekend with a larger gtoup of people.

  • "The place itself was everything we wanted."

Size, location, amenities and views were perfect. The main downfall was the cleanliness. It was tired and in need of a deep clean and some TLC. Not sure when the last time cleaners had gone in. Dust was thick along skirting boards especially behind beds and furniture. Like other reviews attention to detail was needed, I.w bulbs out in some rooms and just need replacing. Curtain rails coming off the wall which need fixing etc.. That being said it was a lovely place to be with all our friends. If it had been clean it would have made such a big difference to the reviews.

  • "Thank you for our lovely stay."

The house was warm on our arrival and we enjoyed the welcome goodies. This previous comment sums up the rest. "We all had a lovely stay at Mean Dryw, the house was lovely and comfortable, and we had no problems with anything, but I would agree with some other comments about lightbulbs ect., not things that bothered us but could be put right easily." Also due to COVID the shelves are empty, so bring your own books and board games. We also really enjoyed the sea and Parys Mountain (old copper mine). The drive to hike up Snowdon is 45 min.

Our early niggles were dealt with sufficiency thank you.

  • "We all had a lovely stay at Mean Dryw, the house was lovely and comfortable, and we had no problems with anything, but I would agree with some other comments about the curtains off hooks and lightbulbs, not things that bothered us but could be put right easily, the garden was ideal for our boys to play football, and we had a lovely barbecue with disposable barbecues."

Driving in and out of the gate can be tricky as the house is on a slight bend. It's a quiet area, Almwch is small but has a large co op for shopping, The Copper mine close by is worth a visit, and lovely beaches to explore.

  • "I logged comments with you mid-week regarding our accommodation and will send email with numerous pictures shortly to outline our utter disappointment at our accommodation."

Previous comments about the property mentioned dirt and cobwebs which we hoped would have been rectified for our holiday but they weren’t.

  • "We have placed all our bed linen and towels in black bin bags and left them in the laundry room."

However there were no bin bags provided and luckily we some of our own. We didn’t know the day of refuse collection, which we understand is on a Wednesday, so unfortunately we missed it. It would be helpful if you could provide this information to future guests. However we all enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you.

  • "The spelling of your advertisement of the cottage is different to that of the actual cottage therefore took a while to find the property."

The cottage was spacious, fantastic location n had all amenities you could wish for. My only complaint would be there were light bulbs out in each room. The windows in the conservatory need cleaning. The curtains were not on all the hooks. The curtain pole in the livingroom came out of the wall. It was held in place by a nail !!!. Small things which can be very easily fixed

my wife was hoovering cobwebs with spiders in them in nearly every room for an hour. we couldent understand this if it suppose to have had a deep clean, everything else bang on. lovely place apart from cobwebs.
