  • "This is a beautiful house with lovely views of the sea from the living room."

We had a really comfortable time staying there, the location was perfect and we were able to take long walks on the beach directly from the house. Would definitely stay again.

  • "We loved the house and had a great stay."

The view from the balcony was great. Even though it was cold, we sat with the door open to listen to the waves. It was perfectly situated. We loved the upside down layout and didn't want for anything. The only issue was that the smoke alarm starting beeping regularly. As I am only 5 ft I was unable to reach it to change the battery and l was unable to get someone to come and sort it. We would love to come back though and would recommend Victoria House.

Thanks Claire for your positive feedback. I am really pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Victoria House. I am disappointed to hear you could not make contact with someone to attend to the smoke alarm. The Housekeepers number should have been left for any emergencies and Sykes should be available too. I will follow this up with them. Many Thanks and we would love if you would come back again as you mentioned above so that we can offer you a gift to make up for the alarm. Many Thanks again! • "Victoria House was lovely and clean, well equipped with the nice touch of Welsh cakes, milk and a bottle of wine to welcome us."

The description was very accurate of the house (yes the stairs are quite steep but this is clearly stated), its location could not be better to the beach, shops and pub. We are really sorry we broke a wine glass, we did leave £5.00 to replace it. We will definitely be back next year and would highly recommend. Thank you so much.

Thanks for your lovely positive feedback. It is much appreciated that you took the time to let us know how much you enjoyed your stay. Yes please do return. We would love to welcome you back again! Thanks Helen Property Owner

The outside store room is well equipped with beach paraphernalia to borrow as well as providing safe storage for bikes, golf clubs, paddle boards etc Everything was presented very clean and in good working order with tasty welcome gifts so we had a really great holiday and will definitely come back!

  • "This is partly to mention a breakage (pt 1), partly to provide feedback for the listing (pt 2) 1a) We broke a cereal bowl, please let me know if/how to reimburse the owner."

1b) A torch found its way into our luggage, we'll post it to the property 2) We can't recommend Victoria House highly enough - photos on the listing really don't do justice to the light, spacious first floor living room with stunning views of the setting sun from the terrace. The cottage is about a minute's walk from the beach and was extremely comfortable throughout with excellent facilities, absolutely no sign of the damp/dirt referenced in a previous review. Also thanks for the wine, Welsh cakes and milk. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Many Thanks for your really positive feedback! Its great advertising for us when visitors take the time to leave reviews for future visitors and we really appreciate it! We are so glad to hear that you loved the features of the house and the location so close to all that Rhosneigr has to offer! Please don't worry about the breakage - we understand that accidents happen! Its kind of you to offer to reimburse but your lovely feedback more than makes up for it. Please do come back for another visit in the future! We would love to welcome you back again! Property Owner

  • "Excellent location …."

Few little niggles… Toaster only half side works .. outside light not working… disappointed no Christmas decorations at all … had numerous rentals over last 15 years and this was a first … would not put off booking again though

Thanks for your feedback. Its much appreciated. I will replace the toaster promptly. Sorry about the lack of Christmas decorations this year - I had it decorated beautifully in previous years but due to illness could not make it down there this December. I will make sure the cleaners have them in plenty time for next Christmas! Property Owner

  • "A really tidy and spotless cottage and only 2 minutes from the beach which was perfect for a lazy dog!"

The living room/kitchen area was upstairs & leading onto the terrace and the bathroom & bedrooms downstairs which was fine and made sense for the lovely sea view, Stairs are steep as noted in the description so maybe not the best for my 75yr old mum, my fault though as I should’ve read the description properly! We walked in to find a bottle of wine & a pack of Welsh cakes on the kitchen table which was a lovely touch. A lovely cottage and throughly recommend.

Thankyou for your kind feedback. Its much appreciated and I am glad you enjoyed your stay in the house. Property Owner

  • "Arrived after a long drive to find a nice bottle of wine & Welsh cakes left for us & milk in fridge which was lovely."

After settling in we discovered damp patches in both double bedrooms .As both double beds were against the walls we moved the master bed away from wall to gain access from both sides to find litter behind the bedside cabinet and flaked paint from damp walls ., this made our sleep very unpleasant. Smell of dampness was extreme despite opening windows & air freshener. The dampness was also in Livingroom and flaking paint from wall at French door 2 chairs in Livingroom were dirty under the throws that were placed over them Nice balcony, however furniture needed updated and again bench padded seat dirty so didn’t use it I washed the floors after 2 days and water was filthy . Feel the house wasn’t cleaned as expected For the price we were charged we expected a higher standard.

Thank you for your feedback, there may have been some slight water ingress from in the winter, but this has been rectified by my builder during building the new balcony. And the house will be completely repainted from the inside after the busy summer season. I am sorry to hear about the litter behind the cabinet, I will make sure that the cleaner will be fully aware of this. Property Owner

The beautiful newly refurbished balcony which is large and spacious is fabulous with sea views and you can sit in the evening and hear the sea. We had a lovely welcome pack of wine and Welsh cakes and the added thoughtful bonus of fresh milk in the fridge, great for a cup of tea when you arrive. • "The TV was not tuned in."

There were very limited channels once we did manage to tune it. Although we were very lucky with the weather and didn’t need to stay in and watch TV it would have been a different story had it rained all weekend. The property has WIFI and the TV really needs updating to a Smart Tv with access to many more channels. Other than that we had no problems at all and the property was well appointed.

Thank you for your feedback, we have now installed a new Smart TV with all features you have outlined. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know. Kind regards. Property Owner
