  • "Fabulous bungalow on a lovely and quiet residential estate, with a small but immaculately enclosed garden, perfect for our dog."

We were a little concerned as our visit was after Wales had reopened after lockdown in April, but we had no worries with the property being, as always, spotlessly clean and plenty of hand sanitisers, even one at the outside front door. Our 3rd visit and we have 2 more booked this year. I think this proves how much we have enjoyed our visits to this property

The bungalow is in a very quiet area with amazing views across the Menai Straits from various aspects. It is immaculately clean, tastefully decorated, well equipped and had modern easy to use appliances and heating/hot water controls.Perhaps a DVD player may be useful to go with the television. There was plenty of cleaning products provided including hand gel and anti bacterial wipes needed during Covid pandemic. The garden is beautiful and well cared for with several seating areas. We would love to return to Orme View one day but we can understand why it is fully booked for the foreseeable future.A real gem!

The standard of fittings, decor crockery, kitchenware and artwork is very high. We have spent each evening on the deck listening to the birds and watching the light changing on the distant mountains. The welcome pack was a most thoughtful addition, cannot praise highly enough the attention to detail. We have been lucky enough to stay in some lovely places and Orme View counts amongst the top of those especially in regard to good taste, quality and thoughtfulness. Thank you.

We where blessed with the best February weather in many years and with the house and Anglesey. Inside - as you walk in the level of comfort and style is great, this continues. It's fully equipped with little and big touches. Outside the grounds and garden an easy layout - the views across the water to Snowdonia so enjoyable. Even our dog just looked out of the window at the views. Area & island - continued enjoyment here - easy to get around, the landscape just captivated us. What's not to like. Very happy holiday - thanks Orme View.

  • "This bungalow is so beautiful."

It is too lovely to be a holiday home it should be lived in and loved every day. We spent a few days "living the dream" and will come back if there's a space when we have our holidays booked. Our little dog loved the garden and had the weather been better so would we. It's the first time I've experienced snow on Anglesey albeit only a little. The mountains of Snowdonia looked magnificent, covered in snow and we enjoyed the view from the warmth of the fantastic conservatory. Everything was almost perfect, if only the bed was a little comfier, sorry we didn't appreciate the firm mattress. It won't stop us coming back though. 5* all the way.

It is very cosy, clean and the facilities are excellent. The welcome pack of Welsh scones, chocolates, tea coffee and milk were very much appreciated. The only think that wasn't as described was the apparant 8 minute walk to the beach, it was 5 minutes by car, so definitely not 8 minutes walk, but this wasn't a problem for us. The views from the garden and conservatory are lovely, many thanks for great holiday.

Décor and furnishings were to a high standard and the whole bungalow was spotlessly clean and fresh. All equipment you need and two bowls for the dog. The garden was totally private and dog proof and beautifully laid out and tended. The views across the Menai Straits were splendid. It was easy to find. A very quiet location. Usually it takes me a couple of nights to sleep well but at Orme View I was asleep within minutes and slept well all week.

Enclosed garden with those fantastic views of Snowdonia absolutely marvellous, Becksley our King Charles Cavalier loved it. This is certainly the best holiday cottage we have ever had, would have no hesitation in recommending to family and friends. We were very fortunate to have such beautiful weather which is always a bonus. Anglesey is a beautiful island, Beaumaris our favourite area, though generally not as dog friendly as other holidays we have had with our dogs in North Devon, Norfolk etc. We did find the signage a little lacking making exploring the island a challenge, managing to get lost a few times, but navigation improved as the week wore on. The wine, cakes, milk etc. very much appreciated, a lovely touch.

The garden has outstanding views over the straits. Lots of different routes for walking, our dog Paddy certainly loved watching the rabbits on his early morning rambles. Whilst at the bungalow we spent most time sitting in either the garden or the sun room. Gardens at this time of year are full of colour. Bungalow ideally placed for visiting all the wonderful beaches Anglesey has on offer as well as easy access to the north wales coast. Thankyou so much for the generous welcome pack. You have a real gem there and we would love to come back again. Highly recommended, we’ve had quite a few visits to this area and this bungalow comes out top.

Wonderful site, really well appointed, modern (the garden room and dressing area off the bedroom are really good,) the views are fantastic especially from the raised decking in the back garden and the owners, who live near by, are really helpful. Ideal for walking and touring Anglesey. Even our dog enjoyed the experience having visited a 'dog friendly' restaurant for the first time. Local amenities are good i.e. shops, cafes and tourist attractions all within five minutes travel time.

About the location

Menai Bridge 4 miles.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
