  • "Owner was very helpful and the cottage was perfect for our needs."

Could have done with a fenced in area to let the dog out in as the owner had cats. But not a big issue. Walk to the beach was further than I anticipated ( about 35 to 40 minutes) But, again, not a big problem.

I would second the suggestions from the owners, not to follow your sat nav to the property.

  • "Really lovely cottage very well decorated throughout, kitchen well supplied with plenty of utensils and white goods."

Soft furnishings comfortable with lovely throws. Would definitely visit again. Only constructive feed back is maybe owner could arrange better Internet as cottage is a little remote from any nearby Internet hubs cafe ect and maybe buy a few bed toppers for down stairs beds as they were a little uncomfortable to sleep on long term. Other than that the stay at crows nest was fabulous

  • "The property was poorly cleaned ; cobwebs everywhere and clearly some areas had not been touched , including the inside of kitchen cupboards."

We had a power cut which was island wide but no candles or torches were provided in an emergency situation. Cottage was charming and spacious but no Usable Wi Fi despite having been told that it was available.

Hi, Clive, Thank you for your feedback. I`m very sorry you didn`t feel satisfied with the cleanleness of the property, our cleaner is exceptionally thorough and we`ve never received any negative feedback about this before. As discussed on your arrival, it`s always difficult to guarantee wi fi speeds in rural areas, it`s possible the inclement weather caused some interference during your stay and you`de have to know how to download the password. Although power cuts are extremely rare, I can appreciate the inconvenience this may have caused, fortunately this occured during the daytime and we were pleased to be able to provide you with regular updates regarding the situation which lasted short of a few hours and you were able to go out.We have noted your comment regarding a lack of torches in the cottage and these have already have been replaced, small items such as these tend to go missing because guests walk their dogs at night I should also note that we do not store candles in the cottage as they are a potential f ire risk. We`re sorry you left early because of the bad weather but the sun did come out as soon as you`de gone and the rest of the week`s weather was greatly improved.. We do hope you enjoyed the chocolates and flowers we left for you . Once again, thank you for you taking the time to leave feedback. Property Owner

A lot of effort has gone into restoring the property and enhancing it. Hats off to Adrian & Linda. We had a lovely stay and apart from a warm greeting and goodbye were left to ourselves which is how we like it. Great spot to explore the Island and will definitely go back sometime.

There is plenty of space both inside and out for kids and dogs. The overall impression is good and the kitchen is well equipped though a bowl for the microwave would help. The WiFi is very poor-not the owners fault. The owners were very welcoming but unobtrusive. There is an abundance of eclectic decor! Apart from the weather, we had an enjoyable stay.

  • "Cottage is lovely and spacious and loved the seafaring theme throughout for owners Adrian and Linda."

Have us lots of information of the local area and beyond and left flowers and chocolates on our arrival. Cottage lovely and clean as we're the bedding and towels. Conservatory and decking area is fabulous with great views. We had the squirrel visiting daily and was fortunate to see 2 on our last day. The only thing to be aware of is the step leading into the bathroom but we overcame this by plugging in a night light in the lounge for overnight. The couple of gates in the cottage were great as it kept our 2 dogs Biscuit and Bailey from entering the bedrooms. Loved our holiday so much that we've booked again to return in September. Thank you Adrian and Linda for making us feel so welcome. Hazel, Terence, Biscuit and Bailey.

Lovely conservatory and outside deck area. The place is full of quirky items, it is a little “tired” but comfy. Bit cobwebby in places but this was not a problem for us. We thought it was very good value for money.

  • "The internet was just to hit and miss, dropping in and out of strength, insufficient to carry out any remote working."

The cottage on the surface was ok but on closer inspection needs a good clean, for example behind headboards, sinks etc and dried food on dishes and plates from previous occupants. Owners were very helpful and friendly, location a little remote but access to all local amenities and attractions/beaches etc wasn't to far. All in all a good week but the internet coverage or lack of it would put us off a repeat visit.

Thank you very much for leaving your feedback, with regards to Wi-Fi we do not advertise it for this reason, unfortunately due to us being remote it is quite hard to get a good signal, however we are attempting to upgrade to full fibre. Sorry about the cleanliness issues, this must have been an oversight from the cleaners which are usually very good, we hope you enjoyed your bottle of prosecco and chocolates we left and our recent upgrades to our home with the new decking area and the Mediterranean rockery. Very shabby and tired interior. Cheap and shabby bedding and towels. Throws on furniture that should have been thrown . Needs redecoration and refurnishing. Such a shame because with some love and care could be a beautiful place

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback for your stay. We are very sorry to hear that you did not like the interior of our property, we spent a lot of time during lockdown 're-vamping' the cottage but do try and stick to the cottages authentic 18th century roots in regards to decor. We have however replaced all throws throughout the property as we are aware these can be worn down faster than usual as we are a pet friendly property. We take great pride in our cottage and thank you for visiting us. We hope you and your dogs enjoyed your stay. Property Owner
