the cottage is in a perfect location to explore Anglesey and wasn’t too far from anywhere and the hot tub was very welcoming too. We had a small dog with us and everything was perfect for her also, including a field onsite which we could let her off in. Very highly recommend

  • "The Annexe was just fine for us - retired couple and a spaniel - warm and comfortable - good wifi - nice big settee - well-equipped kitchen - nice shower."

If we needed anything - teapot!, we like leaf tea - and plug for electric toothbrush/ shaver - we only had to ask - everyone was very helpful. The location is good as we wanted to watch for dolphins and porpoises off Point Lynas/Amlwch and be near a large dog friendly section of beach - Benllech. We were invited to walk our spaniel first thing in the morning and last thing at night in the field behind the main house - which was great. She didn't encounter the chickens but made friends with Honey the young Labrador from Cyprus. We didn't use the hot tub - partly because on fine evenings we were walking on the beach - partly because we hadn't thought to bring a bathrobe and you have to go outside to get to the little patio with the hot tub and outside seating. Other people have commented on the steep steps to the kitchen - we managed OK.

Owner amazingly friendly and helpful. Personally, found the bed and sofa really comfortable. Yes the steps are steep but that is well covered in the property description so just be aware to be careful. Hot tub a very welcome addition after enjoying the beautiful long walks available locally. Main village and beach only a 5 drive away, fantastic fish and chip shop. We were sad to leave as it was an amazing break and we would definitely return if we look to venture that way again.

  • "The experience of booking was brilliant and problem free with plenty of information provided."

However, the accomodation was disappointing. The photos do not accurately reflect the state of the property. The property was very tired and in desperate need of a redecoration, there were damp patches on the walls in places. The pans in the kitchen were terrible so we struggled to cook. The bed and sofa were very uncomfortable. The radiator in the living room didn't work and a small electric heater was provided which was not sufficient so it was quite cold. There was a wood burner with one single log provided but no matches so we didn't use it. The property had obviously not been cleaned thoroughly to a high standard and we found someone else's hair bobble on the floor at the end of the bed which didn't give us confidence in the thoroughness of the cleaning. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided for a week's stay so we went out to buy our own as we were advised not to approach the main house. However, when we did see the host they were friendly and welcoming.

  • "The property could do with a bit of tlc but it was ideal for our needs."

The mattress sloped down on one side so might need turning over. There is a fridge with a freezer compartment but it badly needs defrosting to get much into it. Please beware that the steps (2) into the kitchen are very steep so it can be a little difficult if you have back issues and are a short Person. Overall the property was great and the owners lovely and helpful people, wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again as location is perfect and cottage really lovely.

Barry owner/manager was around but not at all intrusive. We were supplied with far more than the lone log - as advertised - for the wood burner plus firelighters and a lighter too. He also gave us brilliant local advice on where to go and what to see and do. On our last day we went to Red Wharf Bay and Beaumaris as suggested and had a brilliant day. The property is secure and warm and welcoming. We had the hot tub running all week and weren't rushed out at the end of our stay. Our little old dog loved it too.
