"Awesome location a great location to wind down."
Lovely baked goodies… Could be better - fix the shower head - none of the pots and pans were clean had to be hand washed. - cob webs every where - squeaky doors, could be oiled or greased. Had problems sleeping with this

"Beudy Mawr cottage was just what we wanted."
We were greeted by Jane and a fabulous selection of cakes on arrival. The cottage was nicely equipped like a home would be. It felt homely with the decoration and the garden at the back by the main bedroom was perfect and secure for the dogs. If you’re lucky and have good weather you can sit at the garden table enjoying a gin and gazing at the Incredible views of Snowdonia. I also loved sheep, chickens and ducks as our neighbours. The location is rural but if you feel inclined, close to plenty of activities. The only slight negatives for me as someone who has back / neck issues is the angel of bed for tv and the mattress being to hard for me a side sleeper (thankfully it was super king so tossing and turning wasn’t to much of an issue), I appreciate everyone has their own personal preferences so the right mattress for me would not be right for someone else. We enjoyed fresh / scented bed linen. I would absolutely recommend Beudy Mawr Cottage!

"We had a fantastic week!"
We arrived to a table set for tea with an array of home-baked goodies, which was such a lovely touch and really set the scene for the rest of our holiday. The barn is beautifully converted and well stocked, and we really appreciated the enormous bed and comfortable sofas. The upstairs was perfect for our two children, who loved the treat of having their own bathroom (with massive bath) and TV! The views from the back garden are spectacular; the children loved saying hello to the sheep in the morning, and we really appreciated being able to let our dog out knowing the garden was completely secure. The accommodation is an easy drive from attractions including Anglesey, Zip World, Snowdon and Conwy, as well as a big Tesco and great fish and chip shop. We will be recommending Beudy Mawr to family and friends, and wouldn't hesitate to book again in the future. Thank you Jane!

"Excellent property equipped with all you could need."
Clean and tidy. Great location for getting out and about all the things you probably want to see do within an hours drive.Great views to rear of property from the bedrooms. Even when we had an issue it was sorted with no problems. Owner very friendly and an extremely good baker as we found when we arrived, there were all sorts of goodies for us to tuck into. Highly recommended. We had a good time.

"Definitely the best."
Jane put out a table of baked treats on our arrival. We wanted for nothing and is highly recommended.

Absolutely everything and more in the cottage to make the stay perfect. On arrival we were welcomed by Jane and delicious selection of home cooked goodies, such a lovely thoughtful treat. We are looking forward to a return visit.

"We had a wonderful week at Beudy Mawr."

"Beudy Mawr is a fantastic base from which North Wales can be explored."
We were greeted with Jane’s amazing bakes - a welcome treat after a long journey. The cottage was perfect - very well equipped, extremely cosy and dog friendly. We couldn’t control the weather but it didn’t stop us enjoying a relaxing break in beautiful surroundings. We would definitely recommend Beudy Mawr!

"This was an amazing cottage in a great location."
On arrival we found a whole load of baking had been done for us. Sausage rolls, welsh cakes, flapjack, a large Victoria sponge, and other cakes! Amazing! The cottage has ample parking outside. The kitchen has everything you need and sits at the centre of the property. It has a large open plan living area (kitchen, sofa, TV etc), a twin bedroom upstairs and the main bedroom downstairs. The main bedroom has a door that leads to a small garden at the back that has lovely views over the fields, and we were often met by sheep on the other side of the wall in a morning. Overall we loved it and would certainly return. It's a great base from which to explore North Wales.

"A lovely cosy Xmas spent at Beudy Mawr, with yummy cakes provided by the host, Jane, upon arrival."
Pictures don’t do justice to this well-equipped property as very spacious with great views of Snowdon from the enclosed dog-friendly garden at rear of barn. Ideal location for trips to Anglesey and Snowdonia. Thanks Jane for being the perfect host!
-
"Fabulous location, property spacious, well equipped and comfortable."
Host Jane very welcoming and helpful, home made cakes to die for!
-
"Beautiful cottage, fabulous hosts, food set out for our arrival was very very tasty."
Would love to go back, views from back secure dog friendly garden were stunning. Cakes to take home were good too. Couldn't find fault with anything. Thank you for a great time and even the weather was kind to us.

"We have just enjoyed a lovely weeks stay in Beudy Mawr cottage:) The cottage is well equipped with everything you may need, cozy and quiet with amazing views of the mountains from your own little back garden."
I’m not sure why these views aren’t shown on the website as they would be a great selling point! We had a warm welcome from Jane who had a little feast of homemade goodies waiting for us on arrival, all of which were delicious:) she even made us Welsh cakes for our long journey home at the end of the week, these little touches really do make a difference. The only negatives about the cottage would be that the kitchen is looking a bit tired and there were cobwebs around the lights and on the ceilings, not being a lover of spiders myself I notice these things ☺️ that’s me being ultra picky and it wouldn’t stop me from staying there again as we had a wonderful time. Thanks again Jane for the goodies and a lovely holiday, hope the calf is doing ok! X

"Had a very enjoyable week."
A spacious, unfussy property that felt easy to live in, like home! The location was perfect for visiting Angelsey, Snowdonia, Conwy etc. We echo what nearly every review says, without being at all intrusive, Jane is kind and generous and couldn't have made us feel more welcome. We wouldn't hesitate to return, infact we look forward to it!

"Lovely cottage with welcoming and helpful host."
Cottage is located in a little courtyard so is secluded from the farm but still very much in the centre of it. Fantastic views of snowdon and surrounding area. Would definitely book this cottage again.
-
"Beautiful, comfortable cottage for 4 adults."
Location was quiet, ideal, but only 10 minutes from Bangor and Caernarfon. Also within easy reach of Llangollen, Conwy, Llandudno and Anglesey. Jane, the hostess, provided us with a gorgeous selection of sponge cake, Welsh cakes, bara brith. Great week away and would highly recommend.

"The warm welcome and wonderful 'tea' spread that greeted us on arrival was very much appreciated and a lovely surprise."
The cottage was spacious and warm. When the clouds lifted it was great to see the top of Snowdon from the back of the cottage!

"Beudy Mawr cottage is exceptional!"
Jane was the perfect host - she was there if we needed her but also not intrusive in any way. She was kind and friendly & the welcome gifts (Welsh cakes & fruit loaf, along with a Victoria sponge cake!) we’re a lovely touch when we arrived after a long journey. The cottage itself was spacious, clean and such a relaxing place to retreat to after a day of exploring. The garden for our dog was a massive bonus and the views from the back door are breathtaking. The cottage is well equipped, the bed was super comfy and the seating area (with log fire) was a great place to relax after a day of walking. The location of the cottage is perfect, just a stones throw from the local tea rooms and also close to Anglesey. We would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants a relaxing retreat - it was absolutely perfect for us & we will be back!

Lovely views and very comfy and the freshly baked cakes provided by our hosts were an extra special treat and were delicious. Thank you so much for a lovely holiday !
-
"Beudy Mawr is a great place to stay with easy access to Snowdonia, Llyn peninsula & Anglesey."
The garden has great views towards the mountains & is private. Jane, the owner, is very friendly & helpful & bakes great cakes to eat when you arrive!
-
"Property as per description."
Lovely location, very peaceful. A great base to stay for walking and visiting the area. Owner very friendly and treated us Welsh cakes, fruit cake and fresh eggs from the farm hens, all very tasty. I’d recommend staying here.

"Perfect staycation with the perfect host, Sykes were always responsive friendly and helpful"
-
"The owner Jane is fantastic, we were greeted as soon as we arrived."
On entering the cottage we were endulged with homemade cakes and plenty of them. Beautiful garden for dog looking out on a fantastic view. Cottage very homely and lovely open fire.
-
"Beudy Mawr was extremely comfortable, warm and well equipped."
Jane had left a lovely tea, set the fire (in case we needed it) and turned lights on which made it very welcoming when we walked in. Jane was easily contactable throughout our stay although we had no reason to call on her. We had a wonderfully clear view of Snowdon and surrounding mountains from our room. We would definitely like to stay again.
-
"The cottage is perfectly located for accessing all the best attractions in Snowdonia and although near the road it's very quiet."
There are lovely views towards the mountains from the bedroom which leads out on to a patio and occasionally the chickens pay a visit. The shower in the lovely ensuite is extremely spacious. Apart from a little difficulty at the front door as there is no ramp, it was perfect for us as my husband has limited mobility and having the very spacious main bedroom made manoeuvring the wheel chair fairly easy. The cottage was very well equipped with everything you need and although pets are welcome there were no pet odours as we've found in other pet friendly cottages. Everything worked as it should so no complaints about any of the equipment or heating and the bath upstairs was just wonderful. The lovely owner, Jane, very generously provided welcoming tea and cakes on arrival. As it was lambing time we didn't see her again till we left but we had a great week exploring despite the weather. We'd definitely return to this lovely cottage.

"The cottage was absolutely fantastic - it was exactly what we were looking for - on a farm ,well situated for everything - beaches, mountains etc."
.. The cottage itself had everything you needed you live and relax in comfort and the host (Jane) was super super helpful. On arrival we were treated to cakes and tea and had a constant supply of logs to keep the fire going. The location meant we had chickens and cows within our surroundings and it felt so remote but so close to the adventure. Without doubt we will be booking again - hopefully the same cottage (I believe there are three) - very very soon. Loved every minute - thank you Jane.

"Cottage is comfortable, spacious, and well equipped."
Large master bedroom on the ground floor, with great bathroom, and opening onto private garden. Spectacular views of mountains. Comfortable living-room - great wood-stove and TV. Well-equipped kitchen. Second bedroom upstairs, with its own bathroom. Easy access, with parking right outside the door. On a working farm, with sheep right outside the bedroom windows. All very close to Bangor (less than 10 minutes by car), on good roads. A great base for exploring Snowdonia and Anglesey.
-
"This is the first time we have booked with Sykes although we have stayed in the North Wales area many times via other holiday accommodation providers."
From beginning to end, the booking process was very smooth. We received all necessary directions and access arrangements a week before. The cottage was very spacious and warm and facilities were everything we needed. Even the shower was really powerful - often this is a problem in rural properties. The views from the back garden were stunning and the passing sheep, cows and chickens kept our dog amused. It was like doggie TV!! Jane (the owner) was really welcoming and her homemade welsh cakes and bara brith were gorgeous. If we had one criticism, we like to be able to access dog walks straight from the cottages we stay in but this was not possible. It wasn’t a major problem as the area has so many stunning areas to visit so our dog just had to be a little patient!
-
"Very enjoyable stay."
Thankyou.

"There was a lovely afternoon tea when we arrived and the cottage is in a very good location for the area."
The downstairs bedroom was excellent. The upstairs bedroom would be better if the beds were slightly wider and you could hang adult clothes in the wardrobe. I’d also swap the metal patio set in the back garden with the comfortable one in the front as the view from the back garden (no photo on the website) was stunning. Neither garden was secure for my Yorkie due to the gates. The Satnav took us past the house and to the pub and we missed it the first time although there is a sign.
-
"The cottage was lovely and the owner was very welcoming and she had made us afternoon tea for our arrival."
The cottage was very roomy and cosy at the same time. Couple of things a bit tired but was part of the cottage really. There wasn’t anything in walking distance but we knew that but lots of things in driving distance. We loved Wales so much so we have booked another week at end of August to take our grandchildren and daughter with her fur baby. Our fur baby loved our stay with the bit of front and back garden to play in. Thank you had a great time.

"Excellent proximity to all major sites in North Wales"
-
"This was a perfect cottage for our needs and had everything we expected."
It was warm and cosy. Thanks to Jane for a delicious home-made tea waiting for us when we arrived - a real treat! The view over Snowdon at the back is absolutely outstanding! On a working farm, so expect the bleating of sheeps and gorgeous new lambs in April and cows with newborn calves - so lovely. Easy to drive to anywhere from here, yet so peaceful.
-
"We are just back from a fantastic week at this cottage."
The cottage is well located for exploring nearby towns & villages, Snowdonia and Anglesey. Was lovely coming back after a tiring day out exploring. We had 2 kids and 2 dogs with us - everyone loved the cottage. Great facilities and a well stocked kitchen. The cottage is on a farm so it really feels like you are getting away from the hustle and bustle.
