  • "The owner was very friendly & helpful & left us a Bara Brith ."

This is Welsh recipe for a tea loaf & is great with a cuppa & very welcome after a day out or to take with your picnic. The property is quirky with great views & a lovely outdoor sitting area. Inside there is everything you need to cook a meal, hot shower comfy bed although it it is quite high. The only drawback were the 2 chairs for sitting as they were quite low but then I do have problems with a bad knee. Overall a great place to stay.

  • "This is a lovely place to stay: it's in a beautiful area."

Waking up to the dawn chorus each day was delightfully restful. The hut was clean, cosy and had a good hot shower. We didn't get to meet the owners but hope to the next time we stay.

  • "Ian was the perfect welcoming host."

A few small extras such as washing up liquid, a sieve and rolling pin would have given top marks in all categories. The nearest shop is about a mile away It is advisable to have one's own transport rather than depend on the limited bus service which stops neaby. Would happily revisit.

  • "A very warm welcome from the owner after a somewhat trying day."

The Bara Brith was a lovely touch. Unfortunately due to the weather we were not able to fully enjoy the location but the facilities within were excellent. Will hopefully visit again. Would have liked the opportunity to say this personally and also we didn't have a pen with us for the guest book.

  • "I was honoured to be Ian and Mandy's first guest - and the 'Bara Brith' was a delicious welcome surprise!"

They are lovely hosts - there if you need them but not intrusive. They were also happy to receive advice for making small improvements that would make a stay at Glyder Fach even better than it already was. The shepherds hut was lovely and cosy with an amazing view from the kitchen area. I would highly recommend visiting the beaches on Anglesey, and Snowdonia is spectacular. One piece of advice - take insect repellent - they're not a massive problem but it's worth knowing in advance so the little buggers spoil your holiday (Ian is planning on planting Eucalyptus trees to help ;D)
