  • "The property was excellent."

It was both comfortable, clean and homely. The kitchen was fully equipped and I have never see a Rangemaster in any holiday cottages that we have booked in the past. The beds were excellent, both my wife and I slept soundly the whole night. Beautiful views over Snowdonia and a great area to sit out at the back. The only slight downside was the traffic noise from the A5/A55 in the distance but after a couple of days we didn't notice it at all, even with the windows/doors open or sittting outside. When they were closed you couldn't hear anything at all. If we go back to the area we will definitely look to book this one again. Probably the best cottage we have stayed in over the last 6/7 years.

  • "Fabulous property ."

Perfect location and well equipped. Very comfortable . We had a dog and young children so the fact that the garden was not enclosed was a bit of a concern but did not detract from the excellent cottage . Very beautifully maintained and would dfhjntrly come back .

  • "This property provides an ideal base for touring North Wales and Anglesey, as it is situated just a few minutes away from the A55 on the outskirts of Bangor."

The property is well-equipped and provided us with everything we needed for our holiday. The Wi-Fi signal was very good and we had no connection problems with our smart phones, tablets, or the TV in the property. As the name suggests, there is a steep climb up the front drive of this property and the garden is all open plan without any gates. Bearing this in mind, children and dogs (especially with balls) do need to be supervised to ensure they do not run down the drive into the small lane. We enjoyed our stay at The Rise and really enjoyed walking with the dogs along The Ogwen Trail, which is situated very close to the property.

  • "We had a great week at The Rise."

The property is extremely well maintained and equipped with everything you need. The kitchen is possibly the best equipped of any cottage we've stayed in. Everywhere was squeaky clean and smelled fresh when we arrived and is a credit to the owners. Shops are in easy reach, as are a few easy walks if you're taking a pet.

It was home from home with everything one would need during your stay. The owners Andrew and Karyn should be proud of what they’ve achieved. Many thanks

  • "When you arrive at The Rise, the first thing that strikes you is the well manicured lawns and the attractive bungalow."

As soon as you enter you are greeted by the pleasing aroma of pot pouri and its cleanliness. It is extremely well equipped and much thought has been put into making this so welcoming. We have stayed in other Sykes cottages and all are quite well equipped but The Rise outshines them all. There are a few tea bags, a small bottle of fresh milk and even a pack of Welsh cakes to welcome you as well as plenty of towels and ample linen, plus so much more. Everything has been thought of to make your stay a pleasant one. You literally just need your food. I could continue to wax lyrical but you need to see it for yourself. I was privileged to meet the owners, a charming couple and the property certainly reflects their personalities. I have have rated this as 5 star but that does not do this property justice, it is worth many more. We will certainly be back another day.
