  • "The cottage is in a quiet, country location but not too far from shops, pubs, beaches etc."

It was nicely appointed, very clean and well equipped, although they could do with more cutlery and crockery (6 of everything for a cottage sleeping five). It was plenty warm enough, WiFi was good and no real problems other than TV in lounge had virtually no signal (we had truly awful weather, so spent more time in the cottage that we would have liked), 2nd TV in kitchen (?) seemed better.

Possible improvement: more comfortable outside furniture.

  • "What a beautiful cottage!"

Perfect for our first visit to Anglesey, great for accessing the beaches and Snowdonia. A tranquil location, not overlooked. Plenty of space for us to be together in the kitchen/diner or quietly chill with a book in the living room. We will definitely be making a return visit.

  • "The cottage was lovely, quiet and clean with everything we needed for a restful weeks holiday."

The rustic furniture was homely and the sitting room was a delight on a cold and wet May day. We would make three comments:- 1. A lock on the bathroom door would be nice. 2. The beds in the double bedrooms are double beds with metal head and foot boards. As I am over 6ft tall, they were a little on the short size for me. Having said that the mattresses and bedding were great. Perhaps king size beds when they are replaced? 3. The chairs around the kitchen table were not the most comfortable and seemed a little fragile for 'the larger person'! None of these would stop us booking Tegfryn Cottage again - but a longer bed would be nice!

  • "A beautiful cottage set in stunning countryside with lovely views of the sea."

The cottage itself was spotless and equipped to a very high standard and was just like home from home. The walk from Moelfre to Lligwy Beach along the coastal path is a must with spectacular views. Cemlyn Nature Reserve is definitely worth a visit as is Cemaes. We came away to get away from the stress of moving house and it certainly didn't disappoint. We would definitely love to stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

  • "The cottage was warm and very welcoming, we felt at home immediately."

The kitchen was well equipped with every pot, pan and utensil we needed. It was so spacious that the dogs settled on their beds underneath the radiator whilst we sat around the huge farmhouse style table. There were three bedrooms with an additional single bedroom off the master bedroom which had an ensuite toilet/shower. The bathroom was ideal with bath and corner shower unit. The doors from the kitchen opened onto a secure verandah style balcony, ideal for letting the dogs roam. There were steps leading down to a lawn area with its own wishing well. Ample parking for several vehicles. The cottage was spotlessly clean and easy to clean with tiles on the kitchen floor and hallway then laminated flooring throughout. There are jets flying over during the week days but we soon became used to the roar of the engines, this would not put us off visiting again. Fantastic cottage.

  • "Fabulous cottage and location."

A bonus seeing red squirrels in the garden too. Well equipped although a bit more cutlery and plates etc would be good. Great to hAve a dishwasher but there is only enough cutlery provided for one meal you end up just washing up. Would also be good to have folder with details of how to use equipment, bin day etc. A visitors book would also be nice as can be useful to see where other guests have been and what they have done. These reAlly are minor points though we loved the cottage and hope to return.

Very well presented and equipped. The terrace and garden are lovely and I love the kitchen! It was a little further away from the beach that I had hoped but we managed.

The property

Tegfryn Cottage has been beautifully restored to create a gorgeous holiday home.

It sits in a peaceful location near Moelfre on the east coast of Anglesey, close to some of North Wales' finest sandy beaches and coves. The fabulous kitchen has limestone floors with under-floor heating - bliss!

It is furnished with a farmhouse table and chairs, and in fine weather you can throw open the French windows and enjoy al fresco meals.

It is equipped to the highest standard with an electric cooker and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and dryer.

You can enjoy a film on the wall mounted flat screen TV. The charming sitting room has a gas wood-burning effect stove, comfortable sofas and chairs, and is decorated with lovely paintings.

It has a flat screen TV and DVD player. Much care has gone into preparing the three bedrooms (two doubles and one single), with brass and wrought iron bedsteads, comfortable mattresses, pretty colours and furniture. There is a huge bathroom with bath, loo and wash hand basin, and the separate shower cubicle has a power shower with drencher head.

The pretty garden is well tended and has a terrace. In nearby Moelfre, you'll find a good selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs, and you can also join the Anglesey coastal footpath. A blend of antique and contemporary furniture, under-floor heating throughout, carefully chosen colours and finest quality beds with Egyptian cotton bedding make this holiday cottage so warm and welcoming.

Tegfryn Cottage is an ideal retreat at any time of year - relax and indulge in luxurious comfort. Please note that there is quite a drop from one part of the garden to another, so it is not ideal for young children.
