"Absolutely lovely cottage in a beautiful location."
The cottage was clean and very well cared for, there were lots of extra notes around the cottage (directions for the T.V, toilet flush etc) which we found a lovely touch. The homeowners sent a leaflet via email which included lots of information about the cottage and surrounding area, which I found very touching!

"Beautiful spacious cottage, lots of privacy and hiking routes nearby!"
Feels remote with the sheep next to you and the mountain views, but still close enough to the village where you can find everything you need. Perfect location on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. Comfy bed, bath and hot shower. And yes, the toilet does not flush easily and the shower could be a bit stronger, but that didn't bother us too much. Kitchen was also very well equipped. Our dog also enjoyed the garden and watching the sheep from behind the fence. If you have a dog that gets really nervous or agressive when seeing sheep, this might not be the place for you. We would recommend this place 10/10, best cottage we stayed in during the holidays in Wales.

"Although a little tricky to find at first we found Ty Isel to be a beautifully presented, quaint cottage at what appeared to be the highest point in the village."
The cottage was well presented and very clean, which is always a good start. We also found the owner, Sasha very responsive in answering the few questions we had. Overall this made a great base for our family holiday and we would love to return someday.

"We loved the cottage but there were elements that just weren't great."
There was no microwave - it didn't specify in the listings that there was one but this day and age we figured it was a given.
The shower was poor. It was a trickle. Not ideal after a days walking.
The toilet was also not great. Took at least 4 flushes to clear.
There was a mouse living between the ceiling and floorboards of the upstairs and downstairs bedroom
It was, however, a lovely location. The town of Bethesda needs some help.
But the surrounding area is amazing!! It's beautiful. The locals were really friendly.

"Ty Isel is a lovely cottage located up the hillside in a beautiful part of Wales."
There are great walks right from the door. The cottage has a great patio area with superb view across the valley.
For the adventurous nearby Zipworld would be worth a visit. Anglesey is not far away with it's many attractions but we mostly stayed local and did walking and mountain biking.
I would recommend Ty Isel to anyone looking for a remote countryside holiday.

"Ty Isel is a brilliant place to stay."
We thought it was even lovelier than it appeared on the photos in the listing. It was really cosy, comfortable and spacious. The balcony area is wonderful if it's warm, we saw a couple of great sunsets. We loved the location which is perfect for walking in Northern Snowdonia without any need to use the car. We also enjoyed walking some of the slate trail which passes very close by. Very much hope to go back again sometime.

It was clean, warm, comfortable and very thoughtfully presented. There were little touches such as milk and welsh cakes on arrival with a treat for the dog too. The views, the peace and quiet and the whole atmosphere of the cottage would make us stay again.

"Absolutely fantastic cottage in a beautiful setting with lovely walks."
Had a wonderful week away. Owners were really great and very helpful (and left a scrummy cake which was lovely). The owners of other cottages on the road were very nice too and gave great local information.
Only slight problem is the parking outside the cottage. If you leave the spot on a nice day you may not get it when you return, walkers use them and aren’t considerate in their parking!

"Cottage changed ownership after we had booked but we were only informed 2 weeks before the date we had booked."
You created a new booking which as far as I am concerned is a new contract without any consultation with myself, I should have been given the option to cancel due to the fact we had stayed at this cottage before in 2016 and after a bad experience at a nearby cottage Y Bwthyn in 2017 (look at the reviews) we decided to go back to Ty Isel but as you can appreciate if a new owner comes in there is absolutely no surety that the cottage will be as we had previously experienced, thankfully the cottage was great but the point is there was an element of doubt and everything is slanted in your favour, there was an e mail to me cancelling the original booking and making a new booking WITHOUT MY AUTHORISATION! This if taken to law is surely not legal.
We have used Sykes for many years but I doubt we shall use you again
I Doubt I shall hear a response to this but this will just reinforce my opinion not to bother using you again
