  • "We had a wonderful stay at Yr Wyddfa."

A lovely, clean and quiet accommodation. A perfect location for exploring North Wales and Snowdonia. Ian and Mandy are friendly hosts, and spent time helping us to learn the pronunciation of some of the places we visited and mountains we climbed! Much appreciated! On arrival we were greeted with a delicious freshly baked Bara Brith (traditional Welsh tea bread) which we really appreciated and enjoyed on our mountain walks! We highly recommend this accommodation as it has everything you need for a comfortable stay and the hosts are most welcoming. Thanks again Ian and Mandy we hope to be back again soon! Jamie and Lise.

  • "The only grumble that we had was in the bathroom We did not have anywhere to put our clothes when either using the shower or having a wash."

This would have been cured by having a towel rail or somewhere to put our clothes to keep them dry.

From Ians delicious barabrith, funny stories and hospitality to the beautiful location. We enjoy revisiting North Wales as Anglesey so much we have booked our 5th and 6th revisit in 2020. Ideal for zip wire experience ( not that we have the courage to do it!). We highly recommend Yr Wyddfa and look forward to our next visit. Well done Ian, Mandy & girls ( hens!!) X

Bara brith on arrival (very tasty) and freshly laid eggs the following day. Really good location to access Snowdon and North Wales.

  • "Cottage ok but could do with re-decorating in living room."

Main problem was the bathroom, which I can only describe as " in need of a good clean ". The wet room floor does not drain properly and stays constantly wet, causing it to be Black with mould. I spent an hour cleaning the shower area before we could use it. The ceiling is also mouldy. Also, why is there a rusty old wheelchair left in the bathroom? The owner also has some chickens which constantly try to follow you into the cottage and won't go away from the door. Hence, the doorstep is always covered in chicken muck. I would not use this cottage again.

Lots of places to see, in the vicinity of the property. We went on the Boat trip from Beaumaris along the Menai Straits under both bridges, it was beautiful. The town is very nice too. The Liverpool Arms Fish and Chips was Excellent. Over the bridge to Anglesey which has a RNLI Museum and the Lighthouse Stacks. Llanwrst has a beautiful river, with a very old bridge, beside this is a little cottage which is a cafe. Excellent food. Try the Ham Welsh Rarebit Delicious. Conwy and Llandudno are worth a visit, if you want the coast. Boat trips here too. Llanberis for the small steam train around the lake. Slate Museum and other things to see, a lovely gift shop too. Snowden is here too if you wish.
