"Very welcoming host."
Cottage is in an ideal location for exploring North Wales. It’s spacious and equipped with everything you need.
"Exceptional host made us feel very welcome."
"We had a wonderful stay at Yr Wyddfa."
A lovely, clean and quiet accommodation. A perfect location for exploring North Wales and Snowdonia. Ian and Mandy are friendly hosts, and spent time helping us to learn the pronunciation of some of the places we visited and mountains we climbed! Much appreciated! On arrival we were greeted with a delicious freshly baked Bara Brith (traditional Welsh tea bread) which we really appreciated and enjoyed on our mountain walks! We highly recommend this accommodation as it has everything you need for a comfortable stay and the hosts are most welcoming.
Thanks again Ian and Mandy we hope to be back again soon!
Jamie and Lise.
"Good location for popular attractions."
Friendly and helpful owner (Ian).
Peaceful and quiet.
Close to beaches and attractions.
Castles, gardens and steam railway.
Host very friendly and helpful.
All in all a lovely holiday.
"The only grumble that we had was in the bathroom We did not have anywhere to put our clothes when either using the shower or having a wash."
This would have been cured by having a towel rail or somewhere to put our clothes to keep them dry.
"Lovely host, very helpful and provided us with some nice extras like eggs from his chickens and a freshly baked cake."
Would happily stay there again
"Very nice comfortable cottage good location for travelling around the area."
"As always a great break in North Wales."
Our 5th in 21 months! Ian and Mandy are excellent hosts, delicious barbarith waiting for us. Lovely hamlet with good access roads, great parking and holiday let has ever thing we need. New decor looks lovely. Highly recommend this holiday let for exploring Snowdonia and Anglesey. Our favourite holiday let!!
"Mr Jones was very Friendly and helpful."
Good location for enjoying North Wales Coast and Angelsey.
Cottage very comfortable and I intend to return.
"We love this holiday let and it has all we need."
From Ians delicious barabrith, funny stories and hospitality to the beautiful location. We enjoy revisiting North Wales as Anglesey so much we have booked our 5th and 6th revisit in 2020. Ideal for zip wire experience ( not that we have the courage to do it!). We highly recommend Yr Wyddfa and look forward to our next visit. Well done Ian, Mandy & girls ( hens!!) X
"The accommodation was excellent."
It was clean, quiet and had everything we required.
Mr Jones was a brilliant host, friendly and very helpful and his chickens were very entertaining.
The accommodation was a great place to use as a base to visit lots of attractions.
"Fantastic accommodation with very friendly hosts."
Bara brith on arrival (very tasty) and freshly laid eggs the following day. Really good location to access Snowdon and North Wales.
"Cottage ok but could do with re-decorating in living room."
Main problem was the bathroom, which I can only describe as " in need of a good clean ". The wet room floor does not drain properly and stays constantly wet, causing it to be Black with mould. I spent an hour cleaning the shower area before we could use it. The ceiling is also mouldy. Also, why is there a rusty old wheelchair left in the bathroom?
The owner also has some chickens which constantly try to follow you into the cottage and won't go away from the door. Hence, the doorstep is always covered in chicken muck.
I would not use this cottage again.
"Cottage was good, the welcome was excellent, Bara Brith cake was very welcome."
Shame about the weather but that was nothing to do with the cottage.
"We had an enjoyable stay very quiet and relaxing accommodation."
Ian had baked us a bara brith cake which was very nice. Chickens were a source of entertainment! Handy for Bangor good road network , and some lovely walks.
"The cottage is clean, spacious and comfortable, and ideally suited for walking, cycling and climbing in Snowdonia and Anglesey."
Ian and Mandy are genuinely the perfect hosts and genuinely lovely people. We visited before and loved it, and enjoyed this repeat visit every bit as much.
"This is our third visit to this holiday let in eleven months."
Just love the ideal location for visiting North Wales and Anglesey. Ian and Mandy are great hosts and will never tire of delicious barbarith Ian bakes. The holiday let is in a lovely village but shops are only two miles away. So comfortable and perfect for us. Would highly recommend and are going back in Autumn
"Great location, accommodation as listed , and great host Ian."
The Bara Brith was much appreciated.
"The holiday let was good and the owners were friendly hosts."
"Great place and lovely people."
Chickens were great. Love to come again. Area is fantastic and really enjoyed our break. Roads are brilliant. Thanks for cake, wife loved it. Next place has to be for 3 and the hound. Excellent.
"Lovely cottage in great location for exploring North Wales."
Our hosts were very welcoming and ensured we had a great stay. Thank you.
"Very nice one level spacious cottage, another adjoining if there are more of you wishing to go, very friendly people and a gorgeous warm home made Bara Brith waiting on our arrival."
Lots of places to see, in the vicinity of the property.
We went on the Boat trip from Beaumaris along the Menai Straits under both bridges, it was beautiful. The town is very nice too. The Liverpool Arms Fish and Chips was Excellent.
Over the bridge to Anglesey which has a RNLI Museum and the Lighthouse Stacks.
Llanwrst has a beautiful river, with a very old bridge, beside this is a little cottage which is a cafe. Excellent food. Try the Ham Welsh Rarebit Delicious.
Conwy and Llandudno are worth a visit, if you want the coast. Boat trips here too.
Llanberis for the small steam train around the lake. Slate Museum and other things to see, a lovely gift shop too. Snowden is here too if you wish.
"Beautiful location and the perfect base for us to explore Snowdonia, north Wales and Anglesey."
"Owner lives on the premises and was there to meet us."
Showed us around and had even baked us a special Welsh cake (regret cannot recall the Welsh name).
Very friendly chap. Premises ideal for us. Perfect location for what we were looking to do. Very clean and tidy and had all that we needed,
Really nice area with lots to see and do.
Hoping to return later in the year and certainly like to stay here again.
"A comfortable base for exploring Snowdonia and Anglesey."
Very helpful owner and good wi-fi.
"Central location for North Wales which made touring around very easy."
Quiet and comfortable flat with its own parking. All good!!
"The owners of the property made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble."
It is a very good base for exploring this part of Wales as there so many to visit within easy driving distance.
"The cottage is very well placed for touring N Wales."
The nearest city is Bangor which is only about 10 mins by car. There are no shops at all near the cottage but there are supermarkets in Bangor( Aldi,Lidl and Asda).
"Very friendly owner, great cake on arrival (still warm from the oven)."
Great base for touring
"Good clean cottage."
Ideally placed to visit many areas of Wales. The cottage is suitable for the less abled. Good friendly and helpful owners.
"Great stay in a quiet location, not too far away from attractions."
"We liked the central location and friendly reception on arrival from the owner who was very welcoming and helpful."
The bed was very comfortable. We really liked the fact that dogs weren't allowed at the property. Would really like to stay here again next time we are in North Wales.
