  • "The photos do not do this little cottage justice, spacious clean and in beautiful surroundings this is the perfect getaway."

    You do need a car if staying here as you couldn't really walk to any facilities however the beautiful beaches of Lligwi and Benllech are 15 and 10 minutes away. .. and Benllech is a roaring metropolis of takeaways, express superstores and shops in comparasion to the surrounding villages. The owners of the cottage are based on site but the layout makes both properties extremley private. The cottage has a large garden of its own and was perfect for our dogs. The owners made themselves accessable if needed but otherwise kept out of the way and were exceptionally helpful. A lovely additional touch was a vase if freshly picked flowers from the garden on arrival. Over all if you are after a quiet getaway base for exploring Angelseas beaches and walks this is perfect.

  • "After going on live chat to Sykes cottages I asked if it was wheelchair friendly and was told it was so I booked."

    Unfortunately it wasn't. My wife has had a stroke, cant really talk and has limited mobility on her right side. I knew that the bed was only accessible from one side and could manage that. Getting her into the toilet was a different matter ! A shower was out of the question. I had booked Friday to Monday, we arrived about 3pm on the Friday and by Saturday morning my wife was sobbing and saying " Home ". We were home by 3pm on Saturday. The cottage is a nice place for a break and the owners are really nice people. I'm sure if my wife was able-bodied we would have had a good time. Unfortunately I was misled by one of Sykes cottages staff and we didn't :-(

  • "This was our second stay at Babell cottage within a year."

    The cottage is neat and compact with everything you could possibly need. It's set in a quiet area with the owners living close by , which is ideal if you need information about the local area etc. Having a dog we were pleased to find that we could walk him in adjacent field. All said Babell cottage is the only cottage that we have returned to and would gladly book again.

  • "Stayed at Babell cottage with my wife and 2 children (2yr and 11yr old), over Easter weekend."

    We had a fantastic break and the accommodation was perfect. Greeted by the owners on arrival, kids had a little play with their beautiful golden retriever on the lawn, and then we were left to enjoy the cottage and it’s wonderful surroundings. Peaceful, relaxing and only a short drive to the village. We’ll certainly look to book again in the future

  • "The cottage was compact but had everything needed for a comfortable stay, we were a family of four with our youngest a baby."

    The location was really good, the place itself being very peaceful, the beach and seaside town being three miles away. The was no Wi-Fi access and in the cottage itself no phone reception however encouraged us to engage with one another, the owners were really nice.

    No tea pot? No welcome pack? Had to use double and a single bed as double bed too small. Very nice quiet area. Owner very nice.

  • "The details to travel to the cottage were very accurate and the cottage and contents were more than adequate."

    The Location was very good with own transport,access to local beaches,pubs and restaurants was within 10/15 minutes and gave varied options The owners were friendly,very approachable and offered advice as to where to visit/dine etc. The gardens were very pleasant and safe with gates which provided safety for our dog. Local walks are excellent and beaches accessible and clean. We were also fortunate to have excellent weather and the holiday was very successful.

    The cottage itself was ideal with a lovely secure garden and well laid out interior. Great place for a get-away-from-it-all break! Myself, my wife & our little dog Freddie adore the place. Will definitely return next year! Only negative was lack of wifi but we can live without for a long weekend!

A cosy detached bungalow nestled in quiet, rural spot, next to the owners' home in Brynteg, between Moelfre and Benllech on the Isle of Anglesey.

Ideal for a family holiday or a cosy, romantic break, this Brynteg cottage has been pleasantly decorated to offer comfortable, practical accommodation.

There are two bedrooms in this Brynteg cottage, as well as an attractive, open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen and dining area which has everything you will need for a memorable holiday.

You will love the cosy sitting area where you can sit in front of the electric log burner-effect stove and relax after a day exploring the surrounding countryside and coastline.

At the front of this Brynteg cottage is a private patio with lawn, which offers the opportunity to enjoy the sun from morning to evening, whether you are just taking it easy or dining alfresco.

Anglesey is full of fabulous attractions with the beach at Benllech, the coastal path, the castle at Beaumaris, South Stack lighthouse and NT Plas Newydd all just a short drive from this Brynteg cottage.

Alternatively, you can head to the mainland and explore Snowdonia or the Llyn Peninsula.

About the location

BRYNTEG

Benllech and Red Wharf Bay 2.5 miles; Moelfre 4 miles.

Brynteg is a small rural village close to the wonderful coastline of the lovely Isle of Anglesey. The village has a pub, and is home to the Storws Wen golf course, which also boasts a restaurant open to the public. Only 2.5 miles away is the seaside resort of Benllech, which has a beautiful long and sandy beach, much favoured by families, with a slipway allowing easy access for all, whilst Red Wharf Bay offers miles of sand (when the tide is out) and provides wonderful scenic walks and an excellent inn, in which to wine and dine afterwards. The setting promises to suit every taste; the town is ideal for family holidays, whilst the rural setting offers peace and easy access to the coast, rural Anglesey and of course the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
