Very John Lewis! The countryside views from the front windows are lovely. The parking seems scary at first but when a bus goes passed you realise there is plenty of room! Perhaps if there were more mugs and plates it would make using the dish washer more economical. A real delight.

  • "Cosy Cottage surpassed my expectations in every way."

Finding it in the dark wasn't easy, then I found accessing the key a little difficult due to its location, the dark and my manual dexterity. Parking on a narrow road, leaving enough room for passing traffic and having sufficient space to get to the side of the car against the hedge were challenges, even with my fairly small car. A large car would find parking problematic. As I entered the porch, because it was wet, my crutch slipped on the slate tiles. Having a light left on in winter months would have alerted me to the tiles. However, all that aside, once I entered Cosy Cottage, I could hardly believe my luck! Selecting accommodation based on photos can be a bit hit or miss, but this was definitely a hit. As I went from one room to another, I was delighted with what I found. The whole cottage was thoroughly clean and beautifully decorated with co-ordinating items. There was a bit of an oily smell from the boiler, but opening the back door for a few minutes was helpful. The kitchen was very well equipped, and had everything two people could possibly require, whether heating up something or cooking an entire meal. Some crockery needed to be moved to allow space for food items. Basics, such as tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper etc were all provided, along with the other essentials - milk, Prosecco and chocolate. And a tin of dog biscuits too. The dining table and chairs made eating in the kitchen area easy. Vaccuum cleaner, mop, washing machine were all located in a a cupboard. The bathroom was large and airy, with the most enormous, wonderful bath. There were some toiletries and plenty of towels. The bedroom had an excellent amount of storage space and a very comfortable bed. The living room was very welcoming and relaxing. As well as the television, there were books, cds and a radio/cd player. All eventualities were catered for - spare bulbs, sewing kit, first aid kit, and there were some tourist information leaflets. One lamp blew, and I could not get it to work again, but that was the only thing to go wrong. I used the log-burning stove once, but as I was neither a brownie or a guide, my efforts only paid off for a couple of hours The back garden was accessed via the kitchen. There was a small patio area, then about half a dozen deep, steep steps to the upper, grassed garden. The entire garden was securely fenced and dog-proof. Cosy Cottage is situated in a very quiet area, although whenever I tried to get in or out of the car, several cars would suddenly appear and, usually, a bus. It must have a better bus service than the town where I live! Some building work was taking place in the field opposite, so quite a few vans, trucks and plant appeared. They were usually leaving when I returned to the cottage late afternoon, so didn't cause any problems. This was my first experience of self-catering, and of using Sykes, but both were successful.I would not hesitate to return to this lovely cottage, well situated for the small towns of Menai Bridge and Beaumaris. As for recommending it to others, I'm not sure I want everyone to find this little gem! Thank you to both Karen and Sykes.

  • "This is a lovely property, exceptionally well equipped - even a drawer with string, bluetak etc."

Everywhere is comfortable and spacious. The garden is lovely, it was a shame the weather meant we didn't use it much. The location is brilliant, ideal for exploring Angelsey and also the Snowdonia National Park. We would recommend it without reservation.

  • "Information given for car parking: Note: No allocated parking but this is a very quiet residential area and you will always be able to park in front of the cottage."

Yes, there was always room to park in front of the cottage, but the road is not very quiet as there are buses and 40ft trailer commercial vehicles using it. Perhaps the owner, Karen, could make other arrangements with the neighbours to provide off-road parking. Bathroom: The shower is located within the bath but for an OAP it is not accessible - perhaps a grab handle on the wall would help. However, I understand from Karen that the bathroom will be undergoing alterations with a walk-in shower fitted.

Very well equipped with a lot of thought put in to making our stay very comfortable. A thoughtful welcome gift from the owner was much appreciated along with supplies to make hot drinks on our arrival. The expensive furnishings were tasteful and matching throughout the property. Games and books also provided, and a lovely enclosed spacious garden for us to enjoy on sunny days. Would highly recommend and will certainly be booking again.

This was our 3rd stay here and have always had a fabulous time, and we always looked forward to a return visit as it suits our needs after exploring the island at the end of the day. Sadly though we will not be returning next year due to a very large increase in the price for exactly the same weeks that we have always booked for and feel it's not justified.

Very clean and very comfortable to stay in. Aptly named Cosy Cottage! More spacious kitchen. living area and bathroom than appears in the pictures. Seating areas outside the front and back are very pleasant to eat in and catch the sun morning and evening. We were lucky enough to have a week of warmth and sunshine. Good location for travelling around the island to explore and walk. After long days we really enjoyed coming back to this lovely base.

  • "Cottage was beautiful and set in a very peaceful setting."

Exceptionally clean and comfortable. There was a gift waiting for us which was very thoughtful. The only downside was the parking, you can park outside the cottage but you have to ensure you are close in as the road is narrow and although quiet there are plenty of vans and buses that pass. This did not spoil our stay and is just an observation. I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone.
