  • "Another lovely stay in aptly named Cosy Cottage."

The property was very clean. It feels like home from home home with tasteful decor, good furnishings and spacious, well equipped kitchen. The enclosed garden is ideal for letting the dog wander about while we sat and enjoyed a well earned drink, after exploring Anglesey. The tea/jam/milk samples were a good idea too, they helped tied us over until a shop was done. The following day. A lovely property that we would have no hesitation in recommending.

A beautiful update , so clean and lots of little extras. We both enjoyed the quiet and the views and lovely sunsets. Our Border Collie, Tom ,loved all the footpaths from the cottage door. We certainly recommend this fabulous cottage and would come back, time and again.

We loved staying here for our holiday . The cottage has modern expensive appliances and everything you will ever need in the kitchen. Cooking a full English breakie every morning was such a delight to do. A fully enclosed garden and great dog walking with a field down a track which was fab for letting our dog off lead for a run. Thanks for the complimentary bottle of Prosecco and snacks.

The attention to detail put into the property by the owner was second to none. The decor and comfort was outstanding plus the attention to detail to the smaller things such as ornaments, throws, cushions was incredible. Nothing in the kitchen was left unthought of, every item you could want was provided for. An outstanding cottage, in a lovely location. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here and will certainly return at some point in the future.

It was a perfect place to explore Anglesey and North Wales from. Lovely welcome treats for us and a very secure garden for our dog. We have stayed in many cottages but this was by far the most stunning with a lounge, kitchen and bathroom to die for! It was like living in pictures from OK magazine, absolutely beautiful. This is most certainly a cosy cottage!

The furnishings and decor and facilities were all very good, and a credit to the owner and the housekeeper. The fizz and chocolates were a very lovely thought too. If I had one small criticism it is that the bedroom was quite small with a very comfy large bed, and I banged the side of my leg several times on the end of the bed when making my way to the loo in the night

) which began when I was greeted by a hamper filled with all sorts of lovely Christmas treats. This was a return visit to the cottage, which was very clean and comfortable, with some nice festive decorative touches. I had great difficulty opening the keysafe on arrival - my manual dexterity isn't great and I always struggle with the "Masterlock" keysafes. Cosy Cottage is well situated for visiting Beaumaris and Menai Bridge, and I also went over to Snowdonia. Most definitely a cottage to be recommended.

The refurb of the kitchen and bathroom makes it even nicer and more modern. There is only 2 minor things i would do and that is replace the living room tv with a smart tv and replace the feather cushions as the feathers stick in you. This is no way spoils the place its just a suggestion. We will be back again next year possibly twice. Absolutely love it. Thanks.

The kitchen was to die for and we spent the evenings sat there. All the Appliances were Smeg which must cost the earth. The washing machine was a god send but did not work on the dryer setting so the radiators came in handy. The bathroom was beautiful and the bed was comfortable. We got the log fire going but the room became so hot, we had to go outside. One slight issue was trying to open a bottle of wine and the bottle cork opener was broken (with the wings you push down). We found an old fashioned cork opener which took nearly 30 minutes to get the cork out of the bottle. TThe bottom line is we would definitely come back but get the washing machine dryer and cork opener sorted

Far more spacious than anticipated and more luxuriously appointed. Every possible needed appliance or utensil present. Superb shower. Three TVs including one with subscription channels. Very high standard of cleanliness. A lot of traffic along the road for such a small village with no services including vans and numerous buses! Not entirely happy about leaving the car jutting out into this busier than expected road but there was nowhere else to put it. The drive next door seems to use some of this property's frontage and has a gate that leads to nowhere. I wonder if there is scope for having a parking space there. Could do with upto date instructions on how to use the towel rail on its own and for the washer dryer. Couldn't seem to use the dryer programmes. But these are small quibbles. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Hi unfortunately the drive you mention doesnt belong to me or is part of my property it belongs to the next door neighbours Kind regards karen Property Owner

  • "Cosy Cottage surpassed my expectations in every way."

Finding it in the dark wasn't easy, then I found accessing the key a little difficult due to its location, the dark and my manual dexterity. Parking on a narrow road, leaving enough room for passing traffic and having sufficient space to get to the side of the car against the hedge were challenges, even with my fairly small car. A large car would find parking problematic. As I entered the porch, because it was wet, my crutch slipped on the slate tiles. Having a light left on in winter months would have alerted me to the tiles. However, all that aside, once I entered Cosy Cottage, I could hardly believe my luck! Selecting accommodation based on photos can be a bit hit or miss, but this was definitely a hit. As I went from one room to another, I was delighted with what I found. The whole cottage was thoroughly clean and beautifully decorated with co-ordinating items. There was a bit of an oily smell from the boiler, but opening the back door for a few minutes was helpful. The kitchen was very well equipped, and had everything two people could possibly require, whether heating up something or cooking an entire meal. Some crockery needed to be moved to allow space for food items. Basics, such as tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper etc were all provided, along with the other essentials - milk, Prosecco and chocolate. And a tin of dog biscuits too. The dining table and chairs made eating in the kitchen area easy. Vaccuum cleaner, mop, washing machine were all located in a a cupboard. The bathroom was large and airy, with the most enormous, wonderful bath. There were some toiletries and plenty of towels. The bedroom had an excellent amount of storage space and a very comfortable bed. The living room was very welcoming and relaxing. As well as the television, there were books, cds and a radio/cd player. All eventualities were catered for - spare bulbs, sewing kit, first aid kit, and there were some tourist information leaflets. One lamp blew, and I could not get it to work again, but that was the only thing to go wrong. I used the log-burning stove once, but as I was neither a brownie or a guide, my efforts only paid off for a couple of hours The back garden was accessed via the kitchen. There was a small patio area, then about half a dozen deep, steep steps to the upper, grassed garden. The entire garden was securely fenced and dog-proof. Cosy Cottage is situated in a very quiet area, although whenever I tried to get in or out of the car, several cars would suddenly appear and, usually, a bus. It must have a better bus service than the town where I live! Some building work was taking place in the field opposite, so quite a few vans, trucks and plant appeared. They were usually leaving when I returned to the cottage late afternoon, so didn't cause any problems. This was my first experience of self-catering, and of using Sykes, but both were successful.I would not hesitate to return to this lovely cottage, well situated for the small towns of Menai Bridge and Beaumaris. As for recommending it to others, I'm not sure I want everyone to find this little gem! Thank you to both Karen and Sykes.

Yes, there was always room to park in front of the cottage, but the road is not very quiet as there are buses and 40ft trailer commercial vehicles using it. Perhaps the owner, Karen, could make other arrangements with the neighbours to provide off-road parking. Bathroom: The shower is located within the bath but for an OAP it is not accessible - perhaps a grab handle on the wall would help. However, I understand from Karen that the bathroom will be undergoing alterations with a walk-in shower fitted.
