It is well equipped and there is useful information about all the appliances, together with information about the area. Everything had been done to make our stay a pleasant experience. The garden is lovely. Altogether a superb holiday house.

  • "Extremely well presented and equipped cottage, in an excellent position for visiting South stack RSPB."

Visiting other places does require a bit of a drive and we did not find any restaurants in the town .

We arrived at the property hoping for a warm welcoming house and we were not disappointed it was better than we had anticipated and we loved it the owner Sharon was so helpful and a lovely lady we learned that the property was her mothers family home and the gardens were impressive you could tell mum had loved her gardens we used the house to explore north wales and even ventured into mid wales The facilities are as described and have a homely feel to them we would not hesitate to recommend this to any other family group and wish Sharon and her mum happiness for the great time we had in their property Thank you

  • "Beautiful, very clean and very comfortable."

Just as the photos and there wasn’t anything we could have needed extra to what we had, I can’t recommend this place enough !! We spent a lot of our days on Trearddur Beach which was only a five minute drive and so relaxing, when we came back everything was so comfortable and we all slept like babies. Loved this place Thankyou

  • "My family and I recently stayed at Glasfryn, and found the experience to be wonderful."

The accommodation was exactly as described, and looked every bit as immaculate and welcoming as the photos suggested. We were not left wanting for anything during our stay - the kitchen came with every cooking tool imaginable, there were spare cushions, and the conservatory even had a Dyson heater/fan. We chose this cottage based on its convenient location: close to nature (Breakwater Park and South Stack), whilst not far from beaches, and also near Holyhead for the train station. There was also a small general store a minute's walk away which was useful. All in all, it gave us a fantastic base from which to explore the island. I would not hesitate making a booking here again, and will certainly recommend to any family or friends wishing to stay on Anglesey!

  • "This is a lovely, spotlessly clean, property on the outskirts of Holyhead with all the facilities you could need."

Sharon even supplied us with a wok when we enquired if there was one in the kitchen. Excellent property and good value.

Very homely, and with details like WiFi, Smart TV, off-street parking and even such kitchen equipment as a coffee percolator provided, there was nothing wanting during the whole stay. Would unreservedly recommend this property.

The harbour was a short walk away and there was a lovely local park. People were incredibly friendly.

  • "Glasfryn has been very nicely renovated and decorated with everything you could need."

Very convenient off road parking at the front and a very pleasant garden were much appreciated. The location is excellent for exploring Ynys Gybi and the east end of Ynys Môn. My only reservation is that there is no door between the conservatory and the kitchen so I probably wouldn't recommend Glasfryn during exceptionally hot or cold weather.

About the location

HOLYHEAD

Trearddur Bay 3 miles.

The bustling town of Holyhead rests on the North West coast of the Isle of Anglesey, the largest town on the island and perhaps known best for being the main ferry port to Ireland. Steeped in history, the town boasts the remains of Roman town walls and forts, medieval burial chambers and stone village foundations. Explore the Breakwater Country Park, a former quarry, which offers designated walks through the grounds. The park is full of interesting wildlife, most notably the seals who visit the Holyhead coast, and outlines the amazing construction of the world's longest breakwater, some 1.8 miles, which today protects the harbour. Visit the colourful marina with its yachts and tall ships, or the town's maritime museum, with its tales of 100 shipwrecks in the vicinity. Day trips to Ireland can be enjoyed easily from here, with Dublin just 90 minutes away on the fast ferry. With spectacular cliff top walks over Holyhead Mountain, golden sandy beaches at the award winning Trearddur Bay and the Snowdonia National Park just a 20 minute drive away, this is a superb holiday location, at any time of the year.
