  • "Stayed in Flat 12, for 1 week July/August, excellent apartment really roomy, everything we needed was already there for us, lots of kitchen utensils etc, great location close to the Beach and restaurants etc, with lovely views."

Was very clean on arrival and parking was no problem. Received an email from Phil the owner before our trip which was very informative and gave us no reason to have to contact him throughout our stay, will definitely be returning and Treardurr Bay it is beautiful.

  • "We had a week's stay at this apartment in July."

Initially we expected a full sea view but it was a few minutes away which was fine other than outside the front of the building is a busy road which was very noisy at times and we had to keep the windows closed. After another minor issue, we contacted the owner Phil who was wonderful and immediately sorted this out, thank you again. One thing we think Sykes should emphasize are the amount of stairs up to the flat - there are 4 lots of 8 stairs, we nearly cancelled once we saw someone put this on feedback but in the end decided to try it - they are hard work for someone with walking/health issues and this should be mentioned in the description and not just at the very bottom saying "no lift, stairs to the flat" The flat is spacious and comfortable, there are 3 windows in the lounge area with lovely views. The bedroom backs onto the Motel/Driftwood pub and car park, beyond that is part of the golf course but it was very quiet in the evenings/night so no problem. Even though my wife found the stairs hard, we would definately return to this flat as the village is lovely and just a short car drive to many other beautiful places and beaches/walks. Our initial issues soon vanished once we discovered the beauty of this place and its surroundings.

  • "Pleased with apartment but a few small niggles were;- the sofa had feather back cushions and the feathers were coming out all the time onto your clothing."

There was no cheese grater and also scissors would not anything so had to use our nail scissors as kitchen scissors. Car parking was on the motel car park at the rear but apart from a little concern over leaving car there for the week in a very busy car park not belonging to the properties we had no issues. There are 32 steps up to the apartment but it was lovely and quiet.

Potentially life threatening as we were on the second floor at the end of a corridor only escape down an internal wooden staircase. This needs fixing as a matter of urgency. Yes I have supporting photographic evidence. Which I have tried to text and email you you.

One thing - think listing says 2 sets of stairs. Which is accurate, but emphasis on ‘sets’ - there are quite a lot of stairs (4 flights) which I found hard work especially after a day walking.....

  • "There’s a lot going for this light and spacious apartment, however cleanliness is not one of them."

The first thing I saw on entering the living area was a cobweb in the corner containing a dead spider. There was another spider (living this time) in a web behind the TV. There were two more in the bedroom and also a pair of shoes that presumably had been left, behind the bedroom mirror (I wonder how long they had been there). I also had to wipe lots of sticky marks from the fridge door and the cupboard enclosing it. On top of the freezer which is eye level there was a thick layer of dust which we had to clean before storing anything on there. There was little in the way of cleaning equipment and we couldn’t find a vacuum. It was a disappointing start to the holiday and not somewhere we would return to.

  • "Lovely little flat."

It's just as it is described in the listing. It's basic with everything you need. (No washer, but don't know if the listing states it has one. It was just an observation that was the only thing the kitchen was missing ), The rooms a spacious and the bed is comfy. The water pressure is better than I have at home, so the shower was bliss. It's a top floor flat, so no noise from anyone upstairs. Just the flutter and chirps of the House Martins roosting under the guttering. The flat is perfectly located for the beach, bars / restaurants and the local Spa shop. Everything is a 5 to 10 min walk away. Top Tip - phone to book a table at the Black Seal, It gets very busy. If you are looking for a getaway from everything holiday while still being connected to the world this is the ideal location. You can park up and forget about the car for the duration of your stay with the beach and cliff top walks to keep you occupied or venture out and exploring it's easy enough to do from here.

Really quiet, I was hardly aware there were other people around. I would love to stay at Flat 12 again. The bathroom needs a bit of an update as the floor tiles are starting to lift where they have got wet and the hot tap on the sink is loose. But don’t let this put you off as the accommodation is excellent. Highly recommended.

Had everything you could want and was a great location for exploring Anglesey. Bed extremely comfy, flat nice and quiet except for the delightful house martins. Shower brilliant, lashings of hot water and very effective heating system. Close to beach and a good selection of eating places. Secure parking area was also a bonus. Brilliant value. Would definitely go again.

  • "On entry into the flat ,our response was WOW."

! It was so light and spacious, with the facilities that we needed. My husband commented that we felt at home and settled in very quickly. It was very peaceful considering that there were other people in the building, and it was great to be able to walk to the sea in a few minutes Local eateries were warm and welcoming and the food really good. We especially liked the Black Seal .and the Chinese. We have returned home feeling rested and refreshed. Thank you. We shall certainly recommend you to friends and family. Our only suggestions for slight improvements are, The sink in the bathroom does not hold on the water, wrong plug? And the hot tap is wobbly. The hooks on bedroom and bathroom doors are a little flimsy and do not hold any weight of clothing.

  • "Flat is perfectly positioned in the town and only a five minute walk to the beach and promenade."

The flat was exceedingly comfortable with everything you could possibly require.A 9 hole golf course is directly behind the flat and only a minutes walk away. It may only be 8 par 3s and 1 short par 4 but it can be quite testing. Sea Shanty Restaurant is only 5 minutes walk away and the meals served there are excellent. The town of Llangefni is only a twenty minute drive where you can take a leisurely walk through the Dingle about 1.5 miles in leading to a reservoir. On the way we were lucky to see 6 red squirrels. The paths and walkways are very well maintained and is well worth a visit. All in all Trearddur bay is in a very good position where most of the towns can be reached within 30 minutes.

  • "Accommodation was comfortable, spacious and very quiet."

Close to the beach, convenient for shops & restaurants nearby. . Weather was changeable but the sea -views from the lounge were interesting - from stormy seas to glorious sunsets. Situated on the second floor ( no lift) & a fairly steep drive would make this unsuitable for people with mobility issues. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - it was an excellent base for visiting Anglesey & its magnificent coast.

There are some great walks in this part of Anglesey with some from Trearrdur Bay itself, including the Coastal Way. The coast is beautiful. We would recommend the Sea Shanty Cafe, Restaurant and ice-cream parlour in Trearrdur. The staff are very good, the food is lovely and it is clearly extremely popular. There is a local Spar shop which is very handy and it's only a 10 minute drive to a Tesco Extra, Morrisons, Wilko, etc. We would thoroughly recommend both Trearrdur and Flat 12.
