“Great location but the apartment block needs some refurbishment both internally and externally.”

The first impression was the render of the block was falling off in places and looked shabby. At the rear there is drainage issues from the roof and water dripping down. The open air pool could be fantastic sun trap but it needs cleaning, filling and maintenance the caretaker did apologise for this. Inside so many pieces of furniture knock knacks etc make it cluttered and dated. If it were decluttered and carpets replaced with wooden/ vinyl flooring and bathrooms updated it could be much more modern with clean lines. I accept some people like "homely" but having stayed in Blue chip apartments this was a poor relation. We found the bed uncomfortable and my partner woke with backache each day. We could clearly hear upstairs neighbours and even their dog snoring at night so acoustic not great. Having said this it did what it said on the tin two bedroom , two bathrooms budget apartment you get what you pay for and friendly caretaker with fantastic location in the bay. We enjoyed Trearrdur bay and would stay in the area again maybe spend a bit more on accomodation.

The property

This apartment is situated on the Plas Darien Holiday Complex of Treardurr Bay, close to its sandy beach and a short distance from central attractions.

Wander inside and you will be welcomed by a lovingly lounge with an 'L' shape leather sofa, refreshing décor and sea views.

Relax here with the whole family and discuss the many adventures to come.

The kitchen is beautifully presented with an almost country feel, housing a dining table which rests in the centre of the room.

The black counter tops bring a contemporary finish and the wooden units add a touch of character.

You will be all set for those dinner time meals.

The bathroom is neatly styled so you can get ready at ease throughout your stay.

Further round, a bedroom holds two double beds, with lovely bedding and makes a soothing place to relax come night time, before drifting into a good night's sleep.

A four poster bedroom is beautifully designed, and complimented by a large wardrobe and bedside tables and is adjoined by an en-suite.

You will look forward to coming home and relaxing in the peace and quiet.

Away from the retreat, explore your surroundings from the rocky coves and fine sandy beaches to watersports, sailing and windsurfing.

Further afield there is Red Wharf Bay and Beaumaris with its town and castle, along with Holyhead boasting a range of amenities, including a leisure centre, and harbour front.

Whatever you decide, this location promises a holiday to remember.

About the location

TREARDDUR BAY

Holyhead 2 miles.

Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!
