  • "Lovely cottage."

Very well equipped. We were prepared to use our own towels etc. but all the bedlinnen and towels were freshly laundered so we didn't need our own.

  • "Lovely cottage, very clean and well presented."

Somewhere to hang a towel or dressing gown in the small shower room would have been helpful, but just a small niggle.

but really all was super. the cottage and the help of the owner Mrs Jones was an added bonus. It has been a most relaxing break for us. thank you to all concerned.

  • "Lovely hosts who met us there, all the home comforts we would ever need plus more!"

This property is probably the best we have have stayed in so far, could not ask for more. All round a five star experience together with an excellent location. Thankyou very much!

  • "Had we not been before, it would have exceeded our expectations."

We've now come to expect an extremely high standard here and we weren't disappointed. Comfort marked down slightly because electric night storage heaters by their nature are difficult to control, otherwise difficult to fault. Weather wasn't marvellous but the cottage made for a very pleasant stay and we'll certainly return.

  • "Hen Efail Cottage was lovely and a real treat to be able to see Snowdonia from there."

Beaumaris nice to visit and of course you can have a boat trip to Puffin Island from there which we did. Overall a great break, as all our Sykes holidays have been.

  • "As this was the 5th time we had been to Hen Efail we knew the standard to expect which had been exceptionally high on previous visits."

We weren't disappointed, in fact there had been a few cosmetic changes that made for interest without destroying the familiarity. The cleanliness is outstanding, which to our minds is the most important factor.

This is the first cottage we have stayed in that I didn't have to use my box of essentials. Extremely comfortable, and very helpful hosts. We will be back.

  • "We’ve fallen in love with Anglesey and the cottage was in a lovey spot overlooking lovely countryside."

Hen Efail was spotlessly clean and was well equipped and spacious and the beds were very comfy. Even though we had read about the 3 steps to the double bedrooms, I think people with mobility problems (like me) should be aware of how high the treads are, although there is a hand rail to assist. There is a single room, toilet and shower room at ground level though. This problem also is reflected in the settees which were very comfy, but low to the floor. There were toilet rolls and liquid soap available, but nothing else I.e. salt, pepper, teabags, milk e.t.c. so we recommend people take all their own provisions, as the closest shop is 3 miles away. ( there was no hairdryer either) However, we really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back one day.

We love the area and will continue to use this cottage all the time it is available. What better recommendation could it have.

  • "Our third visit to this cottage and it never fails to please."

Eating breakfast on the verandah, sun shining, birds singing, cows grazing in the field opposite and distant views of Snowdonia. What's not to like?

  • "The cottage was well equipped, spacious and spotlessly clean."

The only drawback was the 3 steps. Having arthritis in both knees and the stairs having to be negotiated every time access to the bedrooms or bathroom was required, this made things a bit difficult. Anyone with walking problems would need to be aware of this.
