  • "Another lovely stay at Bodneithior."

The property was excellent clean, comfortable, well equipped and peaceful. The owners Sioned and Owen are available if needed and helpful if you have any queries about the area. The location is great for exploring the island and you can also easily explore North Wales if you need to.

The owners were very accommodating and friendly. It is very central and so easy to get around the island. If you like the quietness around you as we do and the occasional bellow from the cows at the farm, you will love it. Thank you Sioned and Owen for having us. We had a lovely time.

  • "Generally a great place with good facilities in a helpful place to reach much of the island (as long as you have a car)."

Very quiet and beautiful location. The garden was lovely for the kids who enjoyed the zipwire. Having two showers was great when coming back from the beach with kids. Few niggles that would have helped - the wooden work surface is desperately in need of treating as it stained when you put anything on it which was stressful. A visitor book and welcome gift would go a long way to making it feel special. Hand soap in the kitchen would be really useful. Fridge was musty, spare pillows needed pillow cases somewhere so they could be used. However these were all minor and overall it was a lovely stay in a beautiful location with good facilities.

An excellent place to stay. Felt comfortable as soon as we walked in. All the facilities were at hand. The cooker was easy to use. The ensuite bedrooms were a bonus. The patio at the back was convenient - so much so that we did not want to leave the cottage. However we did go for Sunday lunch at Y Ring, Rhosgoch and were very pleased with the quality of the food. We also had lunch at The Boat Hse. Traeth Coch. The fish and chips and mushy peas were extremely good.

  • "As a single person with no children I would not usually book a place for half term week but I needed to attend an event in Caernarfon and decided to extend the break for seven nights and chose here owing to both bedrooms being ensuite and being joined by a friend for part of the break."

There was plenty of info provided before I departed and good directions to the property which is on a single track lane well used by tractors and some local cars which can be quite fast. There is space for two cars on the drive but it was useful we were using just the one for our days out as reversing out into the lane is tight. The downstairs had everything we could need and more including wi fi, Netflix, comfy sofas and a very well appointed kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine neither of which we needed. Sadly the rear yard loses the sun in the evening so finishing the day with a wine outside was too cold. There are a pair of wind turbines in the next field, handy landmarks to find the property. Loved the comfort of the bed, nice clean bedding and many towels of high quality with good toilet paper. Great roomy showers. Bedrooms were spacious. Clothes rails a bit short and only one room had a chair to pop things on. I was in the rear room and would have welcomed the blinds being wider as they let in a good deal of light either side (and in May this is at 5am!). Plenty warm enough. A small shower gel would have been useful. Not ever needed to bring my own before having booked very many cottages. Small issue re cleaning - backs of doors and high places must be consistently missed. Cobwebs on shower room light fitting for example. Would have very much liked a welcome note and maybe something to greet me. Last year's cottage offered a bottle of local cider, bread and local jams for example - things reflecting the area which gets you underway and makes one feel really special and welcome. We did our best to separate our waste and leave the place neat on departure, adding in a new battery for the clock. Met the very nice chap living in the main house (host?) who was polite but unobtrusive. I have added to the leaflets in the welcome book as some were from 2018! All in all a good stay with some small items needing a little attention. Locally we recommend Beaumaris Castle and the grounds of Plas Newydd.

Love the location as you are only 10 mins from Benllech or Amlwch and 20 mins from Llangefni! My Son always has the front bedroom as he loves watching the comings and goings from the farm! Great for anyone wanting to explore the amazing coastal paths because then you come home to spacious showers in the en suites and then extremely comfortable huge sofas to relax on after a days walking! The fridge is bigger than in most holiday let’s we’ve stayed in so plenty of room for all those picnics!! Thank you again and we will probably see you again around September time! If I could give 10 stars I would!

  • "Booked this cottage one of many in the past months we have stayed in by we i mean me and my partner ."

To be honest we kind of jumped into this one without doing much research into surrounding area and amenities which was a big mistake on our part as the closest place to this cottage for so much as a soft drink is a 7 mile drive !! But as I say our own fault for being so naive as to what angelsey has to offer , both being from a city background was a shock . The second flaw which we found a bit strange was that the property we rented was actually half a house which was directly attached to the owners half so was kind of like staying with them in a way , so felt as if we couldn’t really be ourselves as we were being watched owners would also drop by unannounced . Wifi was also in there half of the property and with having such poor signal reception in the area was a big draw back as I complete my work from my laptop in the day and enjoy streaming movies at night . One of the bathrooms smelled foul as I’m foul couldn’t figure out why but wasn’t nice . The layout of the property was peculiar with two upstairs bedrooms being en-suite and the downstairs complete open lay to be honest i actually liked that layout but was peculiar . On check out day the owner advised us they had a booking in which guests would be arriving late on the day so we could check out a little later in the afternoon to then be rudely awoken by their daughter who knocked on the door like a warrant officer and addressed me with “can you get out of the house in half hour ?” No hello or hi good morning found very unprofessional considering her dad was in and sent her round on his behalf . We then got accused of damaging a blanket which had makeup on which we put in to the wash in the morning before we left and would of came clean if they hadn’t of stopped the washer mid programme to examine its condition which I also found strange they then accused us of smoking in the property as an ash tray my girlfriend had got me as a gift had been left behind essentially attempting to outline us as being disrespectful and not house broken I wouldn’t mind it probably smelled nicer when we left than when we got there so don’t know what that was all about to be honest , we cleaned and maintained the property as if it was our own until we received such an unwelcoming reception from The owners and family . So on check out we left the dirty dishes from our brownies and ice cream the night before as a sign of our gratitude . Your welcome

Its owners were friendly and communicative - sending clear instructions and advice before and during the stay - and on hand to ensure we had everything we wanted, without being at all intrusive. The location was perfect in terms of access to Lligwy beach and indeed everywhere else we wanted to visit on Anglesey (this was our seventh visit to the island). Being close to a working farm, our little boy was in his element watching the farm vehicles pass and he was up every morning to watch the cows being fed over the wall; Owen (one of the cottage owners) made his holiday by letting him ride the tractors. The interior of the cottage was finished to a high standard and equipped with everything we needed; the Smart TV ensured CBeebies was on hand for two tired children after a day on the beach, who were able to snuggle upon the comfy sofas, and the wifi worked without a single hitch. The bedrooms were very comfortable - the quiet and pitch darkness at night time was bliss - and having two bathrooms was a real luxury. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property and are hoping to visit again next year. Thank you so much, Sioned and Owen, for providing us with such a wonderful summer holiday.
