  • "This is a well equipped cottage ,everything you need ."

The garden is totally secure so definitely a bonus for dog owners. The little convenience store is also very good ,everyone friendly .The coastal walks are amazing and all within easy reach .My only suggestion is maybe in larger mat from the back door as this leads from the garden ,as I was quite concerned about the carpet getting dirty especially if you have a spell of wet weather.Would definitely return and recommend.

  • "The kitchen is very well equipped and the large, secure garden was just right for a boisterous border collie."

The living areas were comfortable and cosy with plenty of room to spread out. The weather was glorious making the evening walks in the woods at Penrhos Coastal Park a delight. The cottage is in an ideal place to visit the beautiful beaches and walks around Anglesey. The parking place is shared and as stated in a review made in July longer cars/SUV's may experience problems.

  • "A wonderfully quiet, well equipped cottage with everything you need for a home-from-home break."

The large, secure garden is particularly good for dogs. A review from last year commented on a ‘musty smell’ but there was absolutely no musty smell, or any other smell, during our stay in July 2023. Unfortunately there was an issue with the boiler but the owner had already supplied 2 alternative forms of heating: electric radiators and fuel for the open fire. The parking place, shared with next door( nose in to building) was just big enough for our Focus. Longer cars might have issues potentially overlapping the road.

  • "The property smelt damp and musty and we could not believe the feedback given in the guest book."

The house or garden were not fantastic and we would not stay again or recommend this cottage, based on the damp smell - we nicknamed it "musty cottage". It was my wife who stopped me leaving a review in the book, out of courtesy for the owner.

  • "A well-equipped cottage offering plenty of space and the perfect garden."

We had a fortnight stay and loved the cottage for several reasons: brilliantly placed for short drive to beautiful beaches, a short drive to retail park for all shopping needs, and of course, spacious living accommodation. Having two reception rooms meant we could have a place for quiet if you wanted to be away from television etc. The garden is a sun trap and completely dog friendly. We would honestly be back in a heartbeat as it offered us everything we needed. It’s cosy, quiet and comfortable. The nearest beach (cobbles) is walking distance, and the cottage is surrounded by walking opportunities. Great to see wonderful sunsets over the sea within walking distance. Although we didn’t use (heatwave!), I’d imagine the log fire would be fabulous on colder nights. Accessible downstairs ticks all the boxes, but steep stairs to twin room (was used by child), so not a problem. Very soft mattress in main bedroom - ok for one person sleeping in it, but not great with two…both found we soon began aching, so my husband ended up in a twin bed upstairs! Bring larger towels, if like us, you prefer bath sheets. But it has plenty of hand and bath towels if not. Kitchen has everything you need, but we ended up buying a pan on our travels…but that’s because the gourmet chef in my husband comes out and he’s fussy! We struggled with space for food because it’s so well-equipped! First cottage we’ve booked through Sykes (and there’s been many!) where you’ve plenty of toilet rolls for the two weeks (the ones with puppies…decent quality too), and plenty of cleaning products. We brought our own, but they provide everything you need for laundry, dishes and general upkeep. The water pressure is weak - we learned not to use the shower early evening/ late afternoon. You can work round it. Neighbour is a great source of information and incredibly friendly - he knows the island like his back garden. Best welcome basket we’ve ever had - with treats for grown-ups, children and dog alike…thank you! Helen, the owner, touched base by text on arrival. She offered advice and responded immediately to questions. This was our first visit to Anglesey as adults, and we couldn’t have spend a happier fortnight anywhere else!

  • "Unfortunately we arrived and the cottage wasn't ready, I rang and spoke to Jordan by pressing 4 on the instructions who was extremely helpful gave him my details saying Pat Heyes which is the name I use and was told check in time was 4pm we arrived back at 4pm cottage still not ready spoke to Jordan again who put us through to customer services unfortuately the person there asked for our details again when I said my name said these were not the details he had got."

I went through everything address, email address. booking ref, and he was adamant this was not the details he had got I explained I was actually in the cottage having gone and got the keys with code, he still wouldn;t help me in fact in my opinion was a total jobs worth he ended up not speaking. So i hung up redialed again! pressed 4 again on the instructions spoke to Emily (who had no problems with my details I might say) and who was extremely helpful who said there had been a hitch and the cleaner would be there by 6pm I have no problems with that as everything was sorted to our satisfaction. My problem ws with the customer service guy my fault about his name I might add I didn't ask it as I was so shocked that he wouldn't believe I was who I was.!!

  • "The holiday was good but could have been better."

The cottage was lovely, very clean and well equipped. The only comment I would make is that the mattress for us was far too soft ..... a bit like Goldilocks and the 3 bears, we had baby bears bed! But I accept this is very much a personal preference. Unfortunately the week we went the local pub was only open on Friday and Saturday, a problem we encountered a number of times because it was a little early in the season, a large number of eateries were closed so eating out with our dog was almost impossible.

Comfortable, clean and with a lovely safe enclosed garden to relax in. We were incredibly lucky with the weather and when it was too hot to walk with the dog we had a lovely shady garden to sit in. Spotlessly clean and equipped with absolutely everything. • "The cottage was lovely and cosy and perfect for the four of us plus dog."

The garden was pretty and nice to sit in. The location was great for Church Bay and Porth Swtan, the best beach on Anglesey in our opinion. Ten minutes from the big Holyhead Tesco, who delivered our food shop on the day we arrived which was great as we didn't need to bring anything. The cottage was well equipped (only thing missing was a pizza cutter) and it was very clean and comfortable and cool when it was sweltering outside. Some nice touches with face masks and virus hand wipes for this COVID time. I would recommend and book again. Sorry about all the sand we brought back! The owner is also posting to us the stuff we forgot

The cottage itself was beautifully presented, and very clean and homely. Kitchen also very well equipped. The garden was well kept and perfect for our labrador, who enjoyed exploring it. If i had one small criticism it would be the lack of a clock anywhere in the property, but a small issue and one that did not detract from a wonderful stay. Would definately recommend.
