They are on hand if you need them, but not intrusive in the slightest, will do anything they can to make sure you have the best stay, its the little touches that add to the experience (fire lit on arrival, basket of goodies and supplies in the kitchen). The cottage is beautiful and kept to a very high standard, its spotless. I would highly recommend staying here. The welcome pack, log fire and hot tub were great. Elaine and Martin, the owners, are on hand if there are any problems and are very friendly and informative of the area. The garden is one of the best secure dog friendly ones we have come across, not even our escaping springer spaniel could find a way out. The property itself is comfortable but the kitchen needs extra lighting as it is quite dark and extra cupboard space would be useful. The beds are very comfortable making for a good nights sleep. I would recommend Ty Gwennol to family and friends.

Beautiful, spacious and well equipped cottage with a lovely garden. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The only thing we found was that the listing of a nearby shop and pub was not accurate and you needed to drive to get anywhere. However it is a peaceful rural location and not far to drive to nearby beaches and towns. A really lovely stay, thank you Elaine and Martin.

Thank you, it was great to meet you all. I have read the description and couldn’t find about the shop and the pub, but then found it under the amenities list and I have asked for the distances to be changed, I apologise if it caused any inconvenience. Elaine. Property Owner

Our second stay in this beautiful cottage did not disappoint. As always, the cottage was spotlessly clean, and very welcoming. The owners, Martin and Linda, had left some delicious treats for us, including a bottle of fizz which we enjoyed in the luxurious hot tub! We were so lucky with the weather again: lots of sunshine to beckon us out into the beautiful garden. The local beaches are stunning, and our dogs just loved running along the sand and having a splash! Of all the holiday cottages we've ever stayed in (and we have stayed in many!), this is by far the best, as are the lovely people who own it - they couldn't be more welcoming if they tried. (Martin even lit our fire as we are both useless!) We will be visiting again soon - thanks for having us!

Our dogs (and us) loved the garden - so peaceful and of course the hot tub; we were lucky enough to watch a lady and man blackbird travelling in and out of one of the trees feeding chicks - David Attenborough would love this place! As we are huge horse fans, the added bonus of 4 beautiful horses, which we got to meet, just made it even more amazing. One of the best features of all are the owners - Martin and Elaine - just fab, fun and super helpful! They gave us so many recommendations of places to visit too. • "All of us - three adults, one baby and two small dogs - really enjoyed our long weekend here."

We had the most fabulous weather, but this cottage would be perfect anytime of year - in fact we were slightly disappointed that it was too warm to light the fire! The accommodation is extremely well appointed, homely and very comfortable. The kitchen had every item one could wish for and the bed was the most comfortable I've ever experienced in a holiday home. Martin and Elaine were very welcoming and helpful. I think for these hosts nothing would be too much trouble. Elaine ensured we had good directions, as sat navs are misleading near the end of the journey, and they left as a lovely basket of goodies as a welcome. The beautiful orchard garden was such a great space for the dogs, it was secure and large enough for them to explore and run off some energy. The baby grandson enjoyed crawling around on the grass too, and we loved listening to all the bird life. The hot tub was a boon and we were lucky enough to be able to sit in it and enjoy clear dark star filled skies. The property is very quiet and private and you feel you are in the middle of nowhere, but it is actually very quick to drive to pubs, restaurants, beaches etc - although we found it hard to drag ourselves away from the comfort of the cottage. We spent ages choosing accommodation for our weekend, I don't think we could have picked a better option.

Martin and Elaine were wonderful hosts and nothing was too much to ask of them; in fact, one day we asked where the local shop was as we needed a few bits and bobs and before we could make a trip in the afternoon Martin had kindly popped over to ask what we needed as he was heading over to the shop himself. The 4 of us all really enjoyed our stay, it was a much deserved, well relaxed break and we hope to return again. Thank you for everything. We really recommend a stay at Ty Gwennol, the scenery is idyllic, location is perfect with an ample amount of privacy, the hot tub was amazing and it was a relatively easy place to reach, especially with the personal email from a Elaine with directions. • "We've just returned from a week at Ty Gwennol."

We arrived during storm Dudley at the most beautiful cottage, thankfully the owners had called me before Id set off to explain the bridge closures, later they helped us find the place via a telephone call as our Sat nav kept trying to take us up a dead end single lane track, (advice, read the 'how to get there' section in the email). The cottage was immaculate, so beautifully decorated, the cottage and its owners, Elaine and Martin, were most welcoming, they gave me a quick run through of how everything worked then returned to their home next door while we settled in. They had lit a roaring fire for us which was a welcome sight after driving through the storm and had even left us a welcome basket of Welsh delicacies, so thoughtful! The cottage has EVERYTHING you could need, everything was so well considered. We couldn't really explore the island much due to further Weather warnings but the cottage was so comfortable we didn't really feel like we were missing out. It was pretty miserable outside but the braver members of our group still used the hot tub and thoroughly enjoyed it, there is a bookcase full of a wide variety of books, a selection of games and two tvs to watch if you ever get bored of watching the fire, which I didn't. The kitchen was brilliantly equipped, making a variety of cooking so much easier. Martin and Elaine really have thought of everything to make your stay as effortless as possible. The only thing we had to get used to initially was the creaking beams as people walk around upstairs but its a beamed cottage, I guess that happens and we quickly got used to it. We will definitely be going back to this stunning cottage, hopefully in better weather so we can enjoy the garden and local area.

The location is quiet and rural and relatively close to the coast (long walk or short drive to nearest beach - Porth Tywyn Mawr). The house is very comfortable, well equipped and has a private garden with a hot tub on raised decking. The owners live in a separate property on site and are very friendly and helpful. As you would expect most of the things to do on Anglesey are seaside related (beaches, costal path walking). We also did coasteering with Anglesey Adventures (from Porth Dafarch on Holy Island) and really enjoyed it. In terms of food would recommend The Lobster Pot restaurant in nearby Church Bay for good sea food (booking essential) and the nearby Mill (Melin Llynon) for excellent donuts (or Monuts as they call them).
