  • "Really enjoyed our stay at Oscar's Pad."

Everything we needed was provided, we even managed without a dishwasher! Garden was lovely and secure, our Welsh Terrier was very happy with it. Parking was ok but you need to reverse down half the road to use it. Overall would recommend for a couple or family with children as one of the sofas would be a bit of a squeeze with 2 adults.

So glad you enjoyed your stay in Oscar's Pad. The reversing in fairness is only past the max of five cars LOL. You're right the smaller of the two sofa's is cosy, but if you take away the side cushions, two adults do fit. We had to buy a smaller one to fit along the wall. We hope to see you again at Oscar's Pad, so glad your dog enjoyed the garden, ours loves it. Property Owner

  • "The cottage itself is lovely, and parking for one car is narrow, but just about OK."

We were, however, very disappointed with the management company. We had asked to shift our booking by one day with some weeks notice. There was no reply. When we realised that we could not change, we asked to cancel, but, even though there was still plenty of time, we could not get our deposit refunded. We, therefore, continued with the booking arriving a day later than we wanted to and leaving a day early.

Lovely to see the bunnies and sheep and kestrel . Would say the shop in village was poor quality so suggest using the Co op outside of the village. The pub was very friendly. The cottage had everything you needed and lovely little garden which was lovely to read in and a glass of wine when the sun came out. Couldn’t have bathroom window open due to wasps nest did leave note for owners it is summer !

So glad you had a lovely time in Oscars Pad. Thank you for letting us know about the wasps nest, this was sorted the day you left. We love seeing the sheep in the field too. Hope to see you again sometime. Property Owner

Very comfortable lounge and beds and the garden is delightful. The property has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. The garden is secure (as long as you make sure the gate is shut!) and our dog enjoyed lazing out there in the sun. Great to be able to park and unload literally on the doorstep. Only downside were the stairs which we found tricky but we got the measure of them by the end of the week. Would highly recommend to others.

Thank you Ruth, so glad you enjoyed your stay, yes the stairs are a little small and steep, but as you say you get used to them! Hopefully we will see you again at Oscar's Pad. Property Owner

Generous sized enclosed garden perfect for an excitable springer spaniel! Kitchen is better equipped than my own and has the comfiest bed. And nothing beats washing up looking at sheep and lambs! Perfect for our break. The bed gave us the biggest issue as we like a firmer mattress and the foam topper was not to our liking. However some people love it and noted so in the book. Once removed, we slept better and relaxed. Well equipped, clean and cosy. My idea of a cottage hideaway in Wales.

  • "The garden was awful grass hadn’t been cut for ages weeds everywhere and bushes unkempt."

Two men arrived the day before we left and cut the grass and sprayed the weeds, not helpful with two dogs as they couldn’t say if it was safe or not! The two alarms started pinging on the Thursday night with no batteries to replace, very annoying! However the cottage was lovely and some nice touches, biscuits dog treats.

Hi, I'm sorry you thought the grass was awful, it is cut every two weeks. The gardener had assured me the weed killer was dog safe, we have dogs ourselves and wouldn't but them at risk. The alarms have been sorted now. Replacement batteries are in the under stairs cupboard. I'm glad you found the the cottage lovely, and hope you will return. Property Owner

Offroad parking for one car right by the front door is great. The cottage is beautiful. Comfortably furnished, great facilities and had everything we needed for a peaceful week away. The local Bread, milk, and dog treats were a great touch on arrival. We took advantage of the board games under the tv to bring the family together in the evenings. away from tablets and devices. (Free wifi for when you need it) Lovely walks around the area for those with dogs. And we had a the resident red squirel visit us 3 or 4 times in the week. Which was amazing to see so closely. Will definatley recommend Oscars pad to anyone visiting Anglesey.

The garden is secure so the dogs can roam freely without any worries. The only criticism is that the cushions on the sofas keep coming off and we couldn't work out how to use the heated towel rail in the bathroom. Other than that it was marvellous thank you.

Will definitely be back everything you need . It was lovely even the Dogs had a toy and chews waiting for them which was a lovely gesture. The only thing negative were the Mattress’s on the single beds , they were very springy so whenever you moved it’s was like being on a ship . I think they were economy mattress’s Perhaps more firm would be better . Or a decent topper . Especially for Adults .

Thank you for the great review. So glad you enjoyed your stay at Oscar’s Pad. The single mattresses aren’t budget one, though they may be a little softer than you would have liked. Property Owner
