  • “We had a wonderful holiday and for the hosts Anne and Alywn, nothing was too much trouble.”

The property has everything you need for your holiday, they really have thought about all the little things that make your stay as easy as possible. The property was immaculate, super clean and tidy. We stayed with 3 young children and the hot tub was a great hit, plus the enclosed garden, the spacious rooms and the empty garage was a fab space for setting up their toys. There are countryside views from every window and it was so peaceful and tranquil. We travelled around the island and found it a great location to see so many different beaches and other activities, all within easy reach.

The property

Situated on the Isle of Anglesey in the charming village of Llanfechell lies Adwy'r Ddôl, a well-presented bungalow boasting a fabulous private garden with a hot tub.

Perfect for families, this delightful dwelling offers a light and airy décor while being within walking distance of local amenities and also within easy reach of Anglesey's wonderful seaside.

Arriving at the Adwy'r Ddôl, park your car on the driveway and make your way into the bungalow.

The hallway greets you before moving into the sitting room, where you will find a plush corner sofa, a TV and a contemporary electric fire, perfect for snuggling up with your loved ones after a tiresome day at the beach.

From here, whip up your meals in the amply-equipped kitchen, home to all the amenities you need to assist with your self-catering requirements and a handy dishwasher to help with the cleaning up.

Gather at the dining table as a family to enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal as catch up on the day's events.

As the evening grows darker, head off to the bedrooms to rest your eyes; the bungalow hosts three bedrooms, a king-size with a TV, a twin and a bunk, providing flexible sleeping quarters for varying party makeups.

Guests will also benefit from a bathroom fit with both a bath and a walk-in shower, perfect for getting ready for another action-packed day out.

Completing the interior of the dwelling is a convenient utility room so you can freshen up your clothes throughout your stay, and a cloakroom located in the garage, ideal if you are popping in from the garden.

The garden provides a fantastic social space for the group, hosting a hot tub, a barbecue and furniture, you could spend a whole day on the patio, or enjoying a picnic on the lawn, with open fields encompassing the property being the tranquil finishing touch to this exquisite abode.

If you can tear yourselves away from this home away from home, venture out to Cemaes Bay for a day of building sandcastles and eating ice cream.

There are many historical landmarks within the area such as Ty Mawr, and Llanlleiana Old Porcelain Works, surrounded by peaceful countryside.

Avid golfers will be pleased to discover that a scenic drive will take you to Bull Bay Golf Club, a luscious course with unbeatable views over the stunning north Welsh coastlines.

There are plenty of walking and cycling routes in the area, but if you prefer a thrill, why not drive to the Snowdonia National Park for a more challenging day of hiking.

Anglesey offers an abundance of activities within easy reach by car; younger members and animal lovers will enjoy a day at Anglesey Sea Zoo, or for an up-close experience, visit Pili Palas Nature World where you can pet the animals and there is also a children's play area to keep the little ones entertained.

If you don't fancy cooking one evening, head out to Y Cefn Glas for traditional pub grub, or perhaps pick up some fish and chips from Y Wygyr Fish & Chips to enjoy back at the bungalow.

About the location

LLANFECHELL

Cemaes Bay 1.5 miles; Holyhead 15 miles.

Llanfechell is a small village situated one and a half miles from Cemaes Bay, on the northern tip of Anglesey in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village gets its name from the nearby 12th century Mechell Church, which has been extended over the years and where it is believed that St Mechell is buried. The ancient Parys mountain copper mines are seven miles away, with their lunar-like landscape and the area is popular with geologists and archaeologists due to the rock formations at Mechell Mountain and the several ancient monuments scattered around, reputed to be some of the oldest in the world. Llanfechell is home to a village pub, which serves traditional ale with a warm welcome. Nearby, the pretty seaside village of Cemaes Bay is home to three pubs, a few shops, a natural sheltered harbour and a sandy beach, edged by grassy cliffs and ideal for safe bathing and family fun. The whole of the Isle of Anglesey is renowned for its miles of stunning and varied coastline, offering wonderful walking and cycling opportunities, along with birdwatching, excellent watersports, fishing and many quality golf courses. Anglesey Sea Zoo and a variety of National Trust properties and gardens are all within reach on this beautiful island, while a day trip to Dublin can be enjoyed from nearby Holyhead. A great location offering something for all the family.
