“We just had a 5 day stay in Bwthyn Siwan cottage.”

It is a wonderful cottage surrounded by gardens and fields and beautiful views. It was so peaceful and no noise or traffic to disturb us. The bed was so comfortable and there was everything you need in the cottage including some extra things provided by the owners Jane and Dennis such as welsh cakes and artisan bread which were delicious and a bottle of milk, coffee and tea etc. So thank you for those. The cottage is situated near to all the beaches and bays and places of interest on Anglesey ...

The cottage is situated near to all the beaches and bays and places of interest on Anglesey and we can recommend the boat trips from Beaumaris! The crown pub at Aberffraw was lovely and we enjoyed two meals there but best to book first. Loved staying here and only wish we could have had longer! Thank you to Dennis for showing us the Shetland ponies. They were lovely. We will definitely recommend you and would love to come back and stay in the future. Thank you.

About the location

LLANGAFFO

Newborough 2 miles; Gaerwen 4 miles.

Llangaffo is a small village situated between Gaerwen and Newborough on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales. The village has views of the Menai Straits and the mountains of Snowdonia, and contains a local store and post office. It is also home to St Caffo’s Church which dates back to 1846 and was named after a 6th century saint who was killed nearby. Just two miles away is the village of Newborough which lies on the edge of forests and dunes, and is home to a population of red squirrels, one of only two colonies on Anglesey. Close by is Llanddwyn Bay, renowned as one of the finest beaches in Britain, ideal for swimming, canoeing, beachcombing and birdwatching or just relaxing! Behind the beach, the 1500 acre sand dune system of Newborough Warren is home to skylarks, meadow pipits and oyster catchers, as well as toads and lizards and is protected as a National Nature Reserve. The famous Anglesey Model Village, set in one acre of beautifully landscaped gardens, is within half a mile of the village centre and makes a fun day out for the whole family, and Anglesey Sea Zoo, Tacla Taid, the old vehicle museum and Foel Farm are nearby.
