Perfect little gem of a place, for me and mum and her dog, little hard to find but owner so helpful as it was late our arrival , place was comfortable and although a little out of our normal way found some unexpected places to visit would highly recommend and mum would defiantly return she loved it so comfortable

  • "This cottage is fantastic!"

It has an amazing view and a great location. The people there are really friendly and welcoming. I really think everyone should stay here. You can take the 67C bus from Bangor railway station to get here. It's only a short 7-8 minute walk from the station. The view from the cottage is really nice. I rated 3 out of 4 for facilities and maintenance mainly because the smoke detector is very sensitive. It goes off even when you're toasting or when you open the preheated microwave. We're really happy with the cottage. A big thank you to the team who take care of cleaning and maintaining the cottage.

  • "Whilst newly renovated, modern and clean the space was rather small and would only really be used as a base if most of the time is spent outdoors."

We had booked for the proximity to Zip World - which is very close indeed. However, the location does not have much in the surrounding area in terms of shops and places to eat - a drive away is required. Of an evening, the living space was somewhat cramped with compact sofas needing to be rearranged if watching tv. There is no option for ambient lighting in the kitchen-dining-living area. You need all lights on pretty much all day as the sun does not reach this area in the day. The lights cannot be dimmed to relax of an evening meaning the light remains bright. Unfortunately we also had a complete black out from half 10 in the night with no electricity. This was rectified by the morning and there were torches located around the cabin - perhaps suggesting this is a frequent occurrence that is prepared for. We did not meet the hosts but they did leave a pint of milk in the fridge for our arrival which was appreciated and also had contact details in the welcome pack. Overall, a good base to explore but not spacious or overly comfortable for families looking to also spend time together indoors.

  • "Very clean and cosy cabin."

Recently built/ decorated throughout, new kitchen, appliances. Master bedroom is great size with enough storage space. Has an outside sitting terrace with a great views of surrounding hills. There is a parking for one car, very quiet village. There is a contact for a landlady who is very responsive and helpful. Would definitely go back. Highly recommended.
