Bed linen either un-ironed or was not fresh. Bed mattresses uncomfy. Cooker dated and dials not easy to read, writing had worn away. Quite puzzling there are very old storage heaters plus more modern electric heating alongside. Apart from the bathroom the fixtures and fittings are dated throughout with the appearance of an elderly relatives house and not a holiday let. Plus points it was adequate for a weeks vacation with plenty of space, great location, ample parking. Good value for money - only just

All silent night mattresses and recliner sofa were purchased from new in the last 16 months, additional heaters are there for the convenience, if required. Washed and ironed linen are regularly delivered to the property on every change over day! Property is advertised with traditional furnishings and layout, and the booking website photos clearly show the appearance of the place. - Sykes owner relations

The property

A charming, detached bungalow situated between Menai Bridge and the popular seaside town of Beaumaris on the north coast of Anglesey.

Overlooking fields to the rear with views to Snowdon, this pleasing cottage offers comfortable styling with a traditional layout.

There is plenty of private off road parking next to the cottage and two entrance doors, the rear opening into the kitchen and dining area, the other into a hallway off the sitting room.

The sitting room is the hub of the home with a cosy feeling, ideal for enjoyable family times.

The bedrooms offer traditional furnishings along with a family shower room.

Outside is a spacious lawned garden to the side and a rear patio overlooking the owners’ smallholding which features chickens and ducks, and you are welcome to purchase eggs when they are available.

Nearby you can enjoy Beaumaris with its fabulous castle, picturesque high street and quaint shops, or visit the one of the restaurants in Menai Bridge for a quality evening meal, perhaps with a table overlooking the Menai Straits.

With an abundance of scenic coastal walks as well as country paths in the area, you should find a quiet track somewhere to explore, or perhaps an energetic day climbing the peak of Snowdon which is just a short drive over the bridge back to the mainland.

This lovely bungalow is well-placed for an enjoyable holiday at any time of the year.

About the location

Menai Bridge 4 miles.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
