  • "Cottage was fine and cosy ,but they should update their area information about what is available this time of year."

A lot of places were closed or did not do food.

  • "Fisherman's Cottage is a delightful place to stay in a beautiful location."

The cottage is home from home with everything you could need, well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge area and very comfortable bed, you do hear the odd vehicle from time to time but it's such a small peaceful village they're far and few and didn't disturb at all. There is a small enclosed decked outside yard at the back and the owner kindly provide a BBQ for guests use, we had several sitting in the warm sunshine. The on street parking was no problem at all, plenty of space and the neighbours are really pleasant. The location is perfect for walking our dog, with beautiful coastal walks and there's a beach and pub (perfect for a drink and watching the sunset) within walking distance. We explored the whole of Anglesey during our visit and even climbed Snowden which is 50 minutes away from the cottage. The only place I wouldn't recommend visiting is Holyhead apart from that Anglesey is a stunningly beautiful island and a visit to Newborough beach is a must. We would definitely recommend Fishermans Cottage

  • "A very pleasant stay at Fisherman's Cottage."

The walks around the area were delightful. We did miss having a garden, and although it is advertised as having one, it really was a very tiny yard, which didn't get the sun for very long. The road outside the front door can be quite busy with farm traffic. Beautiful views from the front bedroom window. Opposite is an unused chapel and small graveyard - very quiet neighbours! It is a mid-terraced house but the neighbours either side were very quiet. Wooden floors throughout the house, as the owners allow dogs, so if you have a dog that's great. The house was very clean and smelt lovely on arrival.

  • "Hiiiii enjoyed our stay was comfortable, would of liked a garden to chill in suppose small patio doesn't suit everyone."

Also the log burner didn't work kept going out , think the logs was too big nothing to cut down with. Would of preferred washing machine than dishwasher sorry each to there own. Enjoyed the walk down to church bay walking on the beach ⛱️ takes about 20-25mins but lovely walk. Neighbours are friendly and welcoming. Definitely need car to get out nothing around. Again each to there own.

Hello, whilst I appreciate your feedback I feel this score is slightly harsh, we don't advertise the cottage with a garden or washing machine so this should not be a surprise to any guest staying or indeed looking to book the cottage. There is an ample supply of logs and coal in the shed which we supply free of charge so its a shame the one you chose to use did not burn .As you say its not for everyone most people who stay in Anglesey enjoy the tranquillity & beauty of its beaches and walks which are nearby to the cottage, its a shame it wasn't right for you. • "Lovely little property in a quiet village a short walk from the delightful pub 'The Church Bay Inn'."

Every attraction on the island was a short ride away in the car. We stayed with two toddlers and a newborn and it was perfect for us. We had plenty of days out on local beaches, at the sea zoo and Plas Newydd for the Easter Egg hunt. The hosts of the house were particularly accommodating and we'd happily return.

  • "I absolutely LOVED my stay in Fisherman's Cottage and I think my dog did too."

It's a beautiful little old cottage with an amazing view out to Holyhead from the Master bedroom. The little hamlet it's situated in is a short walk away from Church Bay which is STUNNING and there's a lovely little dog friendly pub (the Church Bay Inn) that I'd absolutely recommend for a drink and friendly company. You will need a car to drive to the nearest convenience shop, and there are plenty of supermarket choices in Holyhead, only a 25 min drive away. The cottage has a big enough fridge for you to keep well stocked so that shouldn't be a problem. I'd recommend using the back entrance if you have little ones or dogs as the front door opens directly onto a main road. I didn't find this an issue at all but just thought I'd share some "pearls of wisdom" to make your stay super comfortable. I'd also recommend taking enough clothes for your entire stay as the property doesn't have a washing machine (which is completely understandable given the kitchen space available). Again not a big issue (who wants to be doing the washing on their holidays anyways); again just raising for information purposes. Will absolutely be booking a stay again next year!!

The lit log burner was much appreciated as were the food supplies especially the milk. The proximity to Church bay is ideal and I would certainly return to the house.

  • "Cottage is in a beautiful quiet village about a miles walk from Church Bay which was a lovely beach for our dog to run about on."

Close to many other fabulous beaches and Holyhead. The cottage is comfortable, was very clean, modern with nice cosy furnishings, fluffy towels and had everything, (including a log fire and outdoor space) you need when on a weeks break in beautiful Anglesey. The welcome treats, milk, choccy bars, tea bags and coffee were much appreciated after a long drive. Would I book again - yes!

We were not there for very long only two days out of 7 as had to leave early because my daughter rushed into hospital what time we did have was very nice but wouldn't recommend for disabled as I am and the stairs are a little steep for me and had to drive to let dog go for a run off a lead as local walks were all on roads but the cottage was lovely and clean but would say more for walkers and able bodied

  • "We had a delightful stay at Fishermans Cottage, it offered us a perfectly comfortable base from which to explore our favourite Welsh island."

We especially like visiting Newborough beach and trekking through the woods looking for those elusive red squirrels. Also visiting Rhosneigr beach and South Stack, lovely. Just watch out when coming out the front door, some people in vehicles nip along the lane a bit sharpish. We would heartily recommend you give the cottage a try. We will return for future visits.

The standard of cleanliness was 5 star. The owners were at the end of a phone and were very helpful, in addition there was a folder giving instructions for the facilities and heful information about the local amenities and beauty spots. Highly recommended, and top of my list for future holidays on Anglesey. Thanks Barbara
