Good communication prior to stay. Warm welcome by owners and their Collie dog. Very clean accommodation, well equipped. Quiet & well maintained. Great base to go exploring or to rest up. Highly recommended.

  • "We have just returned from a lovely stay at this property."

Unfortunately we all were a little unwell for a variety of reasons during our visit, but Eric and Val always checked in on us when we saw them as we we’re getting in the car etc (not intrusive at all). They always called our daughter by name which was a nice touch. Their dog, Nell, was a delight and always made us smile. The house was spotless and had everything you’d need to live comfortably. Val helped us in securing a lovely takeaway meal from the local pub The Ring, which really did make our evening. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this place to others and/or staying again.

  • "A lovely, well equipped cottage with everything you could possibly need provided for you."

Set in a peaceful location with sitting out area. The hosts, Eric and Val Hughes, were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the island. Made friends with sheepdog puppy, Nell, a real softie. Convenient for places to visit, lots of lovely walks - can recommend The Ring pub at Rhosgoch and Lastra Farm Hotel for very good food, and Red Boat ice cream parlour at Beaumaris. Would definitely go again - can highly recommend.

  • "We had the most wonderful two weeks stay at Rhoslan, the accommodation was spotlessly clean and really comfortable and cosy."

Our hosts Eric and Val had thought of everything and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were the most friendly and genuine people we have met in a long time. Not forgetting Nell their beautiful collie who we would happily have brought home with us. A thoroughly relaxing stay and we hope to be back soon.

  • "We wanted a quiet week away and Val and Eric's bungalow was perfect for us."

On a farm next to the owners house in beautiful open countryside with abundant wildlife to watch without even leaving the cottage. Val and Eric made ideal hosts and the daily welcome from Meg (the sheepdog) on opening the door in the mornings I am missing now we are back home. We found all we needed in the Cemaes and Amlwch area but there is much more only a short drive away if you want it.

The cottage is clean, comfortable, warm and peaceful, with a nice big kitchen. Eric and Val the owners are very friendly and always on hand if you need anything or want a chat or advice about Anglesey, or to try out your Welsh, but they don't impose, and their dog Meg is very playful. There's a pub within walking distance and shops not far away. Highly recommended.

  • "We had a lovely holiday at Rhoslan."

The cottage is in such a beautiful setting and was well equipped, clean and had everything we could have needed for our young family. There were plenty of indoor and outdoor toys which were well used but the main attraction for the kids was of course the lovely Meg. Eric and Val are such nice people, very friendly and helpful with pointing out the local attractions and best routes to take. It was our first proper visit to Anglesey and we found it beautiful, unspoiled and fairly quiet given it was the first week of the summer holidays. And what gorgeous beaches. House, hosts and location a real gem.

  • "We had a very relaxing stay at Rhoslan."

We were very welcome by Eric and Val and we had an even more enthusiastic greeting from Meg, their new adorable 4 month old sheepdog! If you're a bird lover you'll appreciate the swallows sitting on the wires right outside the cottage and you can watch them sweeping the open fields for flies (we were there mid June). For more birds, South Stack and Cemlyn bay are not far to reach. Overall we appreciated the quietness of the cottage environment and neither the cows nor the dog made any disturbing noises. Well worth another visit!

It is a little gem! Beautifully clean and the owners are really helpful and friendly. It was really great to be able to ask them about where the best beaches were or where the nearest facilities were. It was also fantastic that they have lots of children's toys both indoors and outdoors which kept the kids entertained - especially useful if the weather isn't that great. We had a lovely time there.
