They live next door but were not at all intrusive. The property was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The property really suited us with 2 small children- lots of outdoor and indoor toys, with a washing machine and dryer. Our children were thrilled to bits with the Easter eggs. Thanks so much for a lovely stay.

It is also very spacious and having the garage and utility area is a bonus. If you want peace and quiet then this is the place for you, although nothing is too far away. The owners, Eric and Val, are lovely and their sheepdog Nell is a delight. She and our daughter kept each other entertained for hours ! We had a super holiday on Anglesey and will be back !

  • "We had an absolutely wonderful week."

The cottage is just perfect - beautifully decorated, thoughtfully equipped and spotlessly clean. Easily the best cottage we have stayed in. Val and Eric are lovely hosts, always happy to help and even got our washing in when it rained one day! Nell (the sheep dog) is an absolute delight and so lovely with our children - they were really sad to say goodbye to her! Anglesey is a stunning island and we really enjoyed the peace and tranquillity of this cottage. It is a short drive to any amenities or days out but this island is well worth exploring. We hope to return next year!

Rhoslan was absolutely fantastic. Clean, spacious, quiet and with all the facilities you could possibly need. The owners, Val and Eric (and their puppy Nell) were incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about things to do on the island. We have already booked to return for longer next year. • "Rhoslan is a very well designed and fully equipped bungalow on a working farm in a part of Anglesey where it is possible to 'get away from it all' without being far from the coast and convenient attractions and facilities."

Supermarket deliveries are not a problem and there are good small shops and pubs nearby. Val and Eric are the perfect hosts without being intrusive. Val helped a lot with my Welsh grammar and pronunciation - try to speak the language, the locals really appreciate your efforts. We came to Anglesey to escape the heatwave and we really appreciated the refreshing coastal breeze. A lovely holiday.

Very peaceful in the middle of the countryside with open views of the fields from both front and back windows. Very welcoming hosts including Nel the sheepdog (although she was a little nervous of me to start off with). Cottage was very comfortable and well set out and equipped. The only thing I would say was missing was shaver power point in the bathroom. Will certainly return again.

  • "We have just returned from a lovely stay at this property."

Unfortunately we all were a little unwell for a variety of reasons during our visit, but Eric and Val always checked in on us when we saw them as we we’re getting in the car etc (not intrusive at all). They always called our daughter by name which was a nice touch. Their dog, Nell, was a delight and always made us smile. The house was spotless and had everything you’d need to live comfortably. Val helped us in securing a lovely takeaway meal from the local pub The Ring, which really did make our evening. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this place to others and/or staying again.

Set in a peaceful location with sitting out area. The hosts, Eric and Val Hughes, were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the island. Made friends with sheepdog puppy, Nell, a real softie. Convenient for places to visit, lots of lovely walks - can recommend The Ring pub at Rhosgoch and Lastra Farm Hotel for very good food, and Red Boat ice cream parlour at Beaumaris. Would definitely go again - can highly recommend.

The cottage is in such a beautiful setting and was well equipped, clean and had everything we could have needed for our young family. There were plenty of indoor and outdoor toys which were well used but the main attraction for the kids was of course the lovely Meg. Eric and Val are such nice people, very friendly and helpful with pointing out the local attractions and best routes to take. It was our first proper visit to Anglesey and we found it beautiful, unspoiled and fairly quiet given it was the first week of the summer holidays. And what gorgeous beaches. We were very welcome by Eric and Val and we had an even more enthusiastic greeting from Meg, their new adorable 4 month old sheepdog! If you're a bird lover you'll appreciate the swallows sitting on the wires right outside the cottage and you can watch them sweeping the open fields for flies (we were there mid June). For more birds, South Stack and Cemlyn bay are not far to reach. Overall we appreciated the quietness of the cottage environment and neither the cows nor the dog made any disturbing noises. Well worth another visit!
