  • "We had a lovely week in the cottage helped by excellent weather."

The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped and we loved it. The location is quiet but it suited us perfectly. Will definitely be returning.

  • "We had a fabulous week."

The cottage was a lovely mix of modern and old, it was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was lovely after days out walking and exploring. There is so much to see literally on the doorstep and also across Anglesey as a whole. We loved it.

Great location! Host is always on hand if you need anything. House is great. So spacious and clean and the garden is ideal for children to give some outdoor space. Area is lovely and so much to see and do.

The pub next door closed down 18 months ago you should update your listing as I thought this would be handy for meals etc, also the village shop is just a couple of shelves in the chippy - the village has nothing there - I didnt feel this was truly reflected in the description also there is either a kennel or someone owns multiple dogs as there was some loud and prolonged barking most days the cottage however was absolutely fantastic

  • "We absolutely loved our holiday at Fisherman’s cottage."

The cottage was very clean, spacious, well decorated, comfortable and a well-equipped kitchen. Garden ideal for small children and the hot tub was an added bonus for adults. Underfloor heating downstairs gave a lovely cosy feel. Lots of activities close by: Foel Farm, Sea Zoo, plenty of walks with red squirrels. We were a family of 3 and found plenty to do. Thanks so much - we will be back!

  • "The cottage was lovely and finished to a really high standard."

The kitchen was well equipped and well stocked. The little welcome gifts were a lovely touch. The hot tub was very welcome as we had a few very windy days which stopped us getting out. Was also much enjoyed after a walk up Snowdon!!! The bath in the master bedroom was very handy for bathing to the baby but not really practical for an adult as there was no splash guarding. So we ended up with 6 adults sharing the family bathroom/shower. We also had to park two cars on the pub car park as guests in the houses next door repeatedly parked in our space. The pub wasn’t open but this might be an issue in the future. It also made it more difficult packing up on leaving day. But the cottage was lovely and a really good base for lots of days trips. Would definitely stay again

  • "Lovely cottage, finished to a high standard."

It hasn’t been open long so it’s still lacking one or two kitchen essentials, (and mirrors in the bedrooms) but on the whole we were impressed with the property and we would return.

  • "The cottage is lovely and the location is perfect for exploring this beautiful part of Anglesey."

The rooms are very comfortably furnished and I loved having the attic bedroom with the bath with a view. If you enjoy walking, cycling, running or bird watching the costal path across to Newborough Forest and Llanddwyn beach is stunning. We also enjoyed days out to Beaumaris and Plas Newydd. I would 100% recommend the cottage and the location.

  • "A fantastic cottage, home from home beautiful decor, spotlessly clean and well equipped, I would suggest the addition of a large pasta/potato pan and also mirrors in first floor bedrooms."

Please accept this as constructive feedback it is certainly not a complaint. We will Definitely return and recommend Fisherman’s cottage to our friends and family.

About the location

Newborough 2 miles; Rhosneigr 8 miles.

The small village of Malltraeth lies in the south west corner of Anglesey, at the head of the long inlet formed by the Cefni Estuary and close to the popular Newborough Forest and Warren sand dunes. Malltraeth Pool and the magnificent sweep of marshes and sand dunes, which stretch south to Llanddwyn Island, are all part of a National Nature Reserve. The whole area is renowned for its birdlife and Malltraeth was once home to the famous wildlife artist Charles F Tunnicliffe. There are wonderful forest and coastal walks from the village, which has a pub, a cafe serving afternoon tea and a chip shop (also selling basic items/newspapers etc). Close by are beautiful beaches at Llanddwyn (reputedly the 4th best in Britain), Aberffraw, and Cable Bay, or head to Rhosneigr, which is renowned for its all year round watersports facilities.
