The cottage

Sardis Chapel 1 is a wonderful cottage based in Malltraeth, Wales.

The property is set over three floors and offers modern accommodation, which has been renovated with no expense spared, and boasts underfloor eco heating.

Offering four spacious bedrooms, two super king-size on the ground floor and one king-size and one super-king size on the first floor.

All the super king-size beds have zip and link features and can be turned into twin beds upon request, so all types of groups, be it friends of families can stay here.

Three of the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms, with a family bathroom on the first floor - so you can have your pick of rooms and enjoy the high-quality facilities.

Relax and have a long soak in the tub after a long day, with a good book for entertainment.

The second floor is home to an open-plan living space, with a large U-shaped sofa and a cosy multi-fuel stove, to give that added extra warmth on those chilly evenings.

With views across the open countryside and distant mountains of Snowdonia.

Gather around the dining room table with seating for eight people and enjoy a lovely family meal together.

Prepared in the high-quality fitted kitchen, with all the contemporary appliances on-hand.

Outside there is a front lawned garden and patio area with a large hot tub - perfect for soaking away those aches and pains of an evening.

Enjoy a drink on the patio furniture with the family.

There is off-road parking for several cars.

Malltraeth is within driving distance of many attractions.

Further afield is Beaumaris Castle, a medieval castle which dates back to the 13th century.

Inside it has many historical sightings, with activities and an events programme to enjoy.

Or for your little ones, why not venture towards Pili Palas Nature World, a small petting zoo, which a variety of animals, including meerkats, butterfly enclosures, and an indoor play zone.

Newborough 2 miles; Rhosneigr 8 miles.

The small village of Malltraeth lies in the south west corner of Anglesey, at the head of the long inlet formed by the Cefni Estuary and close to the popular Newborough Forest and Warren sand dunes. Malltraeth Pool and the magnificent sweep of marshes and sand dunes, which stretch south to Llanddwyn Island, are all part of a National Nature Reserve. The whole area is renowned for its birdlife and Malltraeth was once home to the famous wildlife artist Charles F Tunnicliffe. There are wonderful forest and coastal walks from the village, which has a pub, a cafe serving afternoon tea and a chip shop (also selling basic items/newspapers etc). Close by are beautiful beaches at Llanddwyn (reputedly the 4th best in Britain), Aberffraw, and Cable Bay, or head to Rhosneigr, which is renowned for its all year round watersports facilities.
