  • "Beautiful place to stay."

The house is stunning and was immaculately clean. It’s much bigger than we thought. Some wine, chocolate and crisps had been left for us and was a lovely gesture to arrive to thank you. One of the windows wouldn’t open but the owner had somebody there within the hour to sort it out. Nothing was too much trouble. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, beautiful house and location. Thank you

  • "Beautiful cottage with amazing views."

The hot tub was perfect and hot when we arrived. A couple of things that could have been a little better: - an extension for the stair gate so it can fit the top of the stairs. - a gate for the garden so little ones can play outside. Thank-you for allowing us to stay and we would live to come again.

  • "Had a wonderful 3 night stay here!"

The place is fantastic - spotlessly clean, modern with everything we needed. Stayed here with my husband and 2 boys and the hot tub was a big hit for all, especially during the freezing fog! It's actually much bigger than it looks on the photographs and the little welcome pack was a nice touch too. The location was perfect for us as we had the car and had booked a number of festive excursions in snowdonia and caernarfon and also visited the nearby pili Palas animal Park which the kids loved. Overall I'd definitely recommend and would love to stay again. Don't have a bad word to say about the place!

  • "Excellent family stay We stayed in Sardis Chapel 1 for 3 nights as an adult family of 8."

The property has 4 very large double bedrooms 2 on the ground floor and 2 in the middle floor all immaculate On the top floor you have your kitchen dining and living room complete with a log burner. What an amazing entertaining area with great views over the estuary. The kitchen was well equipped and the welcome gift of biscuits crisps and wine was much appreciated We enjoyed glorious walks in the day, nights in the hot tub and trips to the local pub The Oyster Catcher Conclusion - An excellent stay in a fabulous property and location we would love to return

  • "Very modern property for the area."

Lovely design of the property and great for a group of people. There is a nearby walk to new borough Forrest and lighthouse which was lovely. You definitely need to have a car with you as not too much to do on your doorstep.

  • "We thought the property was lovely with fantastic views, the beds were very comfortable and showers excellent!"

Location was great for newborough forrest and beach but we needed a car every day as there was little in the village aside from the chippy (which we bought a newspaper from every day) We had a really nice holiday but there are a few things we would like to feed back. Firstly an outdoor table and chairs would have been useful, the ratan sofa with no cushions was extremely uncomfortable and not enough space for 6 people to sit out in the sun. Thankfully we brought 2 camping chairs with us which helped but without those the only way for everyone to sit out would have been to bring down the kitchen chairs! We also thought it would have been useful to provide more pegs on the doors or somewhere to hang washing / wet towels in each bedroom. There were 6 adults staying in the house and only one small drying rail so we were having to use wet towels as they never got a chance to properly dry after showering each day. We felt the sofa was a bit dirty with stains and there were a few crumbs under the table when we arrived (although the rest of the property was spotless!) It would have been useful to know there were tea towels, oven gloves and washing up liquid etc provided (as we brought our own) The hot tub was cold when we arrived due to being cleaned, and even though there was a note to advise this on arrival we were very disappointed as we had planned our first afternoon/evening to stay in the house and use the hot tub. Some pre-notice of this would have been useful so we could have amended our plans. The hot tub was fantastic and we really enjoyed it every day, but towards the end of the week it became a bit frothy and felt less fresh which is understandable after using every night so maybe required some maintenance/ extra cleaning half way through our stay (this has been the case at other properties we have stayed in) Finally we requested an early check in but were told no, however we arrived early anyway (before 3.30) and decided we would go for a walk whilst we waited and the other guests either side were already there unpacking and our house was ready waiting for us, it would have been good to know we could come early as we had a car full and were wasting time on the island until check in at 4pm. There is one more piece of feedback that we felt we need to give although not really related to the property it really affected our stay. The house behind had a pack of dogs (maybe 4-5) who howled like wolves and barked very loudly for hours on end, every morning and night. It was really disruptive and frustrating and the owners of those dogs were shouting and acting anti-socially also. We understand it’s difficult to control that but we wanted to let you know in case there is anything you can do to report this so future guests don’t have the same disruption. Thanks for a lovely stay!

  • "Really excellent accommodation, good off road parking and a lovely location on the estuary alongside Newborough Forrest."

    Fab views of Snowdonia too.

  • "The only criticism I have is that the accommodation is for 8 people and it has a very small fridge and freezer to stock and store food for 8 people."

Also there were very little large pans, oven dishes and wooden spoons etc which made cooking for 8 people very difficult. There is very little nearby in terms of supermarkets / grocers so buying food for a few days is essential but exacerbated the issues already listed.

  • "Great space for 2 families of 4."

8 of us easily accomodated comfortably. Hot tub was well used and lovely to use after a day walking or on the beach, however the disappointment was the lack of garden furniture to enjoy the outdoor space and poor garden maintenance given the price charged. Hot Tub kept tripping the electrics on certain cycles. Lack of sound proofing between floors created some early mornings with kids! House could do with a freshen with paint, which was disappointing given the time of Covid lockdown this could have being done. Great views!

  • "I was over the moon with this booking."

The pictures really don’t do justice to how stunning the chapel is inside and the views in the surrounding area. We had a wonderful time, cooking and socialising in the large open plan living quarters and ventured out on many walks, enjoying the amazing scenery. The little convenience/ fish and chip shop was a blessing to have so close and the owners where lovely to speak to. On the one occasion we had some queries about the Hot Tub we were thrilled to have a response almost instantly and for the issues to be dealt with promptly and efficiently. The accommodation and experience was wonderful and we will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for having us.

  • "Excellent accommodation."

I defy you to find more comfortable beds. Nice location. Only criticism is that it is advertised as big enough for 8 people......struggle to sit that many in comfort in living room. We stayed at Chapel 1 and had half a settee with no cushions for outside use. Hot Tub was excellent though. Stairs would be difficult for anyone disabled or with mobility difficulties.

  • "This is a fantastic place to stay being furnished and looked after to a very high standard."

The accommodation very comfortable and well equipped, and the hot tub was also clean and well maintained. Everyone in our group was extremely satisfied with the accommodation as well as the location. Staff at the local shop were friendly and helpful. A minor criticism is that the size of the fridge is a bit small for a party of eight, especially as we hired it for a New Year celebration so needed a bit of extra space to chill drinks. Had we known in advance we would have taken a cool box or something similar, but it wasn't a huge problem and wouldn't stop us from returning in future. We were thoroughly delighted with our stay.

  • "Sardis Chapel 1 has been finished to a very high standard and has every comfort we could have wished for, especially the hot tub and décor of all the rooms."

It was very clean and it was nice to find everything in good working order - a world away from home! As a family we work very hard and only get one holiday a year so the accommodation was very important to us. Our elder daughters came to visit and there was ample parking. Special mention has to be made of the location as the house is set in beautiful surroundings with views of the Welsh mountains and sea. We loved walking along Malltraeth Cob towards Newborough forest and beach and spent a lot of time counting butterflies and taking photos. We also visited Anglesey Model Village, Plas Newydd, South Stack Lighthouse, Plas Cadnant Gardens and local ancient monuments as well as a climbing afternoon at Holyhead with Anglesey Pursuits. Sardis Chapel 2 and Fisherman's Cottage are both next door and we'd be happy to stay in any of the 3 properties next time.
