The property

This delightful, detached coastline cottage is situated on the outskirts of Menai Bridge and enjoys an enviable position overlooking the tidal estuary of the Menai Straits, on the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, in North Wales.

Just a short walk from the banks of the estuary, this lovely cottage is set in an elevated position overlooking the water, maximising its superb coastal views.

Entering into this comfortably furnished cottage, you will feel relaxed and at home straight away, and will no doubt head straight to the bay windows to take in the superb view.

The cottage has an open plan feel with a welcoming sitting room leading up two steps into an intimate social dining area adjoining the fitted kitchen, where you will be able to enjoy preparing delicious home-cooked meals whilst your family and guests can keep you company.

There is a second ground floor reception room, ideal for the children to make their own as a play room or media area, or for adults to use as a quiet reading room or study if required.

Upstairs are three good-size bedrooms with both the twin and the super king-size bedrooms benefiting from the ever changing, magical estuary view, whilst the rear double bedroom offers further stylish accommodation for your party to enjoy.

The bathroom offers both a freestanding bath with hand-held shower and a shower cubicle to account for all preferences.

The property has a back to front feel as the better entrance is from the garden decking which allows you to take in the best views, and steps lead down off the large decking area to a further patio area with lawned garden, where you will find more garden furniture, reclining loungers and a barbecue for alfresco dining whilst watching the tide ebb and flow in this delightful south-facing garden.

The thriving town of Menai is just a short walk and allows you to enjoy a great variety of pubs, restaurants or cafés, some so popular you may need to book ahead.

Menai Bridge is a haven for walkers and offers access onto the Anglesey Coastal Path and 125 miles of unspoilt coastline, as well as abundant sailing, fishing and rib boat rides, or perhaps a boat trip out to Puffin Island for some birdwatching and seal spotting.

A delightful cottage where you will immediately feel relaxed, wanting to spend lazy days unwinding and recharging your batteries.

About the location

MENAI STRAITS

Beaumaris 6 miles; Bangor 4 miles.

The Menai Strait is the stretch of water separating the Isle of Anglesey from the Welsh mainland. Often a brilliant blue, these shallow tidal waters are crossed by two bridges, allowing easy access to the attractions of Anglesey and the mainland. The castle and pier at Beaumaris make a lovely day out, or you can catch a boat to enjoy a trip out to Puffin Island. The Anglesey Coastal Path takes in beautiful scenery, and the island is home to many fine beaches including Rhosneigr, Trearddur Bay and Red Wharf Bay. The NT mansion Plas Newydd is on the island, while on the mainland further NT properties can be found including Penrhyn Castle and Bodnant Gardens. The spectacular mountains and lakes of Snowdonia are just a short drive way, with plenty of castles, beaches and other attractions on offer in this wonderful region. The Menai Straits really does offer the best of both worlds!
