We’re not long home from a gorgeous family holiday here! All 4 generations enjoyed thoroughly with ages ranging from 10 months to 81 years! The house is extremely spacious with so many nooks and crannies to just relax. The house is full of character but with modern additions also. The WiFi is great for keeping all entertained when wanting to chill and the huge fridge freezer (oh and wine chiller!!) are welcomed features! One of our favourite parts were the swinging seat in the garden, we all loved it and I think it was rarely vacant throughout as someone was always having a rest on it. The island is beautiful and well kept. It’s so lovely having your own space completely ‘away from the world’. We were lucky with the weather and we didn’t leave the island often as we just wanted to explore and relax. The only thing we’d have liked would be a tumble dryer as with the humid weather nothing was drying well either outside on the line or inside on the airers. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a nice ‘escape’ with extended family or friends and we all want to come back here again! It was amazing and felt a home from a home! We’re all starting to save for our next Ynys Castell break already!

The property

And a further area with seating and space to read.

There are large picture windows with superb views up and down the Menai Strait.

French doors lead out onto a balcony. This floor also houses a further four bedrooms.

This delightful town sits right on the edge of the Isle of Anglesey and is home to one of two bridges to mainland Wales. It is an ideal base for a holiday and is great for exploring this beautiful island. It has a strong history which can be discovered in the Menai Bridge Heritage Museum, the well known Saint Tysilio lived on Church Island, just off of Anglesey in the 9th century, hence the name of the 14th century St. Tysilio's Church. Menai Bridge itself offers a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants to enjoy. In terms of entertainment, this is an ideal spot with something for everybody, there is the butterfly palace 'Pili Palas' which is incredibly popular with families, as well as the astounding Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens well worth a walk around.
