“We had a really brilliant holiday, yes we got used to the stairs, the thing I did was my own fault I know but I turned the cooker plug on and I think the last person before us in the cottage, had cleaned the top of the cooker and turned all the dials on.”

So it was lucky I hadn't put anything on the cooker top, just a thought for the next holiday makers. But yes we will come again sometime.JS Jones

The cottage

This gorgeous little fisherman's holiday cottage sits in a pretty terrace in Moelfre on the east coast of Anglesey.

It commands fantastic views of the sea and the dramatic Anglesey coastline.

Just below the cottage is the Moelfre lifeboat station. The kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge and dishwasher.

A breakfast bar separates the kitchen from the sitting area.

There is a dining table and chairs for four. In the sitting room there is a comfy sofa and chair set around the wood burning stove, a flat screen TV with DVD player. Upstairs are two bedrooms.

One double room with amazing views, and a bunk bedroom.

The bathroom has a loo, wash hand basin, and a bath with shower over. Penrhos Cottage is ideally situated for joining the Anglesey coastal footpath or visiting the many local beaches and attractions.

Moelfre itself has much to offer.

There are good cafes and restaurants, a child-friendly pub serving bar meals, and interesting little shops.
