“We stayed at the cottage for a family birthday.”
Excellent cottage. Facilities were very good. Very close to the beach and amazing views over the same. Would definitely recommend and go back in the future.

“Just returned from a stay at Tyn Lon and had a great week.”
The position of the cottage is idyllic, the photos don't do it justice! In less than a 10 minute walk you can be down at the beach (although there is a car park of you need it) and from the cottage you have fabulous views over the whole bay and the surrounding countryside. The cottage itself had everything that we needed and even though the owner had made some changes due to COVID restrictions, we didn't miss anything at all. Very clean and very comfortable. There are plenty of places to go and things to do which can be reached easily from here and there is close access to the coastal path or countryside walks. We would highly recommend Tyn Lon if you are thinking of visiting Anglesey and we will definitely be back.- Ms Burke-tomlinson, August 2020
“The phone number in the confirmation email for the housekeeper was incorrect as she had left 2 months previously.”
I called the caretaker who was able to help and gave me the new housekeepers number. This is the third time we have been to Tyn Lon, the first being for the Millennium when our children were little. This time we brought grandchildren. It’s a beautiful house and incredibly well equipped, clean and comfortable. The beach and cafe just a little walk away are delightful.- Mrs Baker, December 2019
Thank you for your lovely feedback. The enjoyment and comfort of our guests is of the upmost importance and we were so pleased to hear that you had enjoyed your stay. The incorrect contact details were an oversight and they have now been amended but thank you for bringing it to our attention. We hope that you and your family will visit us again soon. “Always a great service from Menai Cottages.”
Our property was as described and well prepared for us. Thank you,- Mrs Hubbard, August 2019
“We have just spent our 10/11th holiday at Tyn Lon,every one has been most enjoyable .”
We look forward to staying again next year. On this occasion we renewed our aquaintance with Lady Boston and met Rebecca Rose ,the owner, this was a delight.- Dr Minns, May 2019
“A superbly appointed cottage with every attention given to detail and comfort.”
The situation is very quiet , yet within easy reach of a beautiful beach and local amenities. The village of Moelfre is a delight and very interesting with the harbour , coastal path and RNLI lifeboat museum and lifeboat station. It is very easy to get to larger places for shopping and sightseeing . I would recommend this cottage without hesitation.- Jo Solan,
“One of the best equipped cottages we have used, the owners really think of everything that a large family would need.”
This is the second time we have visited, and we have enjoyed noticing the extra new touches added since our last visit. It is comfy, cosy, and the most perfect location to enable us to enjoy long days at the beach, and then watch the most beautiful sunsets from the garden.- Deborah Barlow,
“Second time staying at Tyn Lon, the property is great, really homely with just about everything you could need.”
The gardens are great for the dog and the views down to the beach are stunning. The only improvement we could suggest would be a seperate toilet downstairs.- Simon,
“Superb location for sea and countryside.”
Comfortable,warm and well equiped- ,
“I have wanted to stay in this cottage, for many years.”
The location is one of our most favourite on the Island. On the pictures the cottage interior looked stunning. However, on arrival I can only say we were gutted. The decor is tired and worn, this may be expected from a busy seaside property, however it was also extremely manky. The upper bathroom toilet had pubic hairs around the base and the seat had brown stains of ? On it. The whole of the kitchen had to be cleaned including the inside of the fridge. Everything felt greasy and dirty. Our son hoovered the entire house before he would remove his shoes. The location is still one of the best, and saved the holiday, maybe either get a new cleaner or send them for training. There is no excuse for the condition we found the house in upon arrival. Regards Paul- Paul Stringer,
Dear Paul, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback on this house. We have passed the comments to the owner who will in turn liaise with the housekeeper. She was a little disappointed that you did not contact herself or Menai Holidays so that we could have had any areas of concern assess and re-attended to if necessary. \n

“Very comfortable and warm, Child and dog friendly.”
Great location for Lligwy beach. Very easy to find. Well appointed kitchen - we had a good holiday.- Graham Fullarton,
Fantastic views. Few things were looking bit worn and could do with attention. As we were there for two weeks and paid for two separate weeks with no price reduction, I think we should have had linens changed on the middle changeover day.- Jane Boull,
“We thought this cottage was lovely, very private, with beautiful sea views.”
Very comfy beds, the cottage had everything we required for a very comfortable stay.. plenty of cutlery, crockery and saucepans etc. Plus the heating was pre set for us at a very nice temperature (I was a little worried before going, that the cottage would be too cold for me - not so) The only problem that we did encounter was mice! We did leave a note to the owner on the day we left mentioning this. I was quite upset the day we arrived, when I realised how much mess they had made and that it had not been cleaned up for our arrival - Basically dropping were found on every piece of soft furnishing (sofas, chairs, cushions, carpet in the downstairs bedroom and worst of all on one of the duvet covers) plus under the sink where all the saucepans were kept! Having said all that.. I did not want to spoil our Christamas break by complaining on the first day. So we did a big clean up and got on with the job of having a dame good holiday. We would return to this lovely cottage but only if you could guarantee that it had been professionally cleaned. Many thanks, Jane and MIck Simpson- Michael Simpson,
“The cottage was faultless, clean and tidy, everything needed to make it a excellent stay, the location is brilliant lots to do very close by.”- Wayne Codman,
“Tyn Lon is situated in a simply stunning location.”
The views are truly wonderful. It really is a total peace and quiet location. The accommodation is well equipped with lovely comfortable bed rooms. The garden is fully enclosed which is a real plus point for our retriever to explore without having to watch her constantly. It is only a short walk to the beach and coastal path walks. The only slightly negative point was the lounge appeared very small and cluttered with uncomfortable furniture.- Mary Irving,
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We are really happy that you enjoyed your stay at Tyn Lon, we hope to see you back in North Wales soon!
