  • "A beautiful cottage in a stunning location."

Spectacular views from the balcony off the living area - a perfect place to relax and enjoy the bird life/wildlife. The pebbly beach at Penmon is on the doorstep and there are several public footpaths to walk and explore the area without having to use your car. The cottage is very well appointed and spotlessly clean.

The location is fabulous and the house is beautifully set up and maintained. We are thinking of a third visit but at a different time of the year so as to enjoy a different perspective and better weather. Just a suggestion, more hanging space in the second bedroom upstairs would be useful.

! Fabulous week but a week isn't enough, by the time you're unwound it's time to pack up the car for home :-( Warm weather which meant camper vans etc were out in force and the point was rammed on a daily basis but once you pulled through the gate and travelled a short distance you never head a peep - WONDERFUL. The balcony is great but when the wind blew (which it did with a vengeance on most day but then again you are kind of 'hanging over' the mennai straits) it was just the job sitting behind the patio doors watching the sea bubbling wildly while you were cosy and warmed by the suns rays. We had a fabulous time but can't help wishing we'd known about this place when we were younger and fitter (Gods dirty tricks department does that once you hit 65ish) it would have been amazing to get the surfboards out and experience the crashing waves. Took a video on the night before we came home when a right royal hoolie blew up - Fabulous. Keeping our eye on the booking calendars and hoping to see 2 weeks together - we'd give that 11 out of 10. Stay Safe everyone

This property delivered on so many levels with the amazing location, great facilities, nearby amenities and the raw access to nature. Nothing quite beats a hot cup of coffee on the balcony staring at the sea, the seals, the masses of bird life, passing yachts and the glorious weather. Even in a storm, and with lightning across the sky, we felt warm and safe. Plenty of space for 5 people. Nice to sit in the afternoon sun on the balcony or at the nearby cafe for cocktails

The views were amazing and the veranda ideal for G&T. Although the weather was not usual for June the accommodation was very comfortable and warm. The seagulls, cormorants, other birds and seals kept us entertained. Because of disabilities we kept close to the cottage visiting Beaumaris, the hidden gardens and other local places. All in all a very restful, pleasant holiday. If we get the opportunity I will definitely book it again.

.The Old Lifeboat House is one of the best..The views are outstanding and the property itself was in pristine condition..such a beautiful area..i would highly recommend it to anyone..my only little gripe with the house was a bit of a fishy smell when going from the kitchen to the living room..the only thing i could think of to explain this was maybe anyone that did fishing whilst staying at the property would maybe bring their catch in through the side door and put it down in that area..other than that i have no idea..my sense of smell is second to none there was a definate odour..that aside its a fab house and i would return for sure.

.. we received a text the day before we were due to leave advising us we had been sent a text re leaving preparations. a) we were unable to access our emails whilst away b) the text had been sent on a no reply message thereby useless. We did manage to contact a friend who had been to the cottage previously who gave us the information. The only other problem was the refuse removal. The outside bin was full on our arrival and wasn't emptied during our stay.

  • "The Old Lifeboat House was the perfect location for our holiday in North Wales."

The views were magnificent and we were lucky enough to see dolphins and seals on a couple of occasions. The only real negative was that the garden wasn't really useable to play in - it is really more of a driveway and very exposed to the cliff edge (and the wind!). Also, in practice access to the beach itself was via a public footpath (although it was only a 30-second walk!). Would definitely recommend to others.

It had everything you could need - and every comfort had been thought of to ensure we had a wonderful stay. After trying to open it for approx. 15 min I gave up and tried to ring you for advice. After being on hold for 20 mins I finally got through after stating my problem with the key safe I was told that the owner had changed the code. I booked this holiday approx. 9mth ago surely you had time to contact me as regards to the change of code, so after wasting over one hour I was finally able to get into the property.

We are very sorry about the issues you had with the key code upon your arrival. This was due to a system error. Property Owner

  • "Superb location, stunning views and overall facilities."

High standard of cleanliness. It is hard to find any faults other than the kitchen/diner cupboards design not user friendly and oven and dishwasher over engineered for a holiday let. Broadband connection poor (a BT problem) and perhaps to be expected. Our Canadian family appalled by re-cycling arrangements, but we accept this is a local authority issue. Despite all this we would recommend the cottage without question.
