  • "Lovely cottage lots of space very clean."

Dog friendly with water bowls. Showers were excellent just what we needed when we were in the heat wave. Kitchen could do with a few more essentials

  • "Ground floor accommodation that has recently been tastefully converted to a comfortable standard."

It is located on a lovely campsite, so you look out over caravans to the stunning view beyond. It is attached to the owner’s accommodation, including a room above you, which overlooks the garden area. Worth thinking about whether this would bother you when paying market rates for a private cottage - we felt a bit self-conscious, especially with kids (they’re well behaved but they do make noise at times and it’s quite a peaceful place). Overall, nice, spacious accommodation on a great campsite with stunning views. Very dog friendly. Note: laundry facilities are currently on the campsite not in the cottage.

  • "On arrival we found food in the cupboards from the previous occupants like bread and cakes that had gone off so clearly the cleaners were not very thorough."

If it was cleaned at all. There was also a rat in the front garden. The floors were also a bit dirty. The wifi wasnt always on. The house overall was nice ie bedrooms but the location wasa bit remote for our liking. Also the reception was never open. On arrival it was closed and there was noone to greet us. We had to ring the owner a couple of times to find out where we were staying

About the location

HOLYHEAD

Trearddur Bay 3 miles.

The bustling town of Holyhead rests on the North West coast of the Isle of Anglesey, the largest town on the island and perhaps known best for being the main ferry port to Ireland. Steeped in history, the town boasts the remains of Roman town walls and forts, medieval burial chambers and stone village foundations. Explore the Breakwater Country Park, a former quarry, which offers designated walks through the grounds. The park is full of interesting wildlife, most notably the seals who visit the Holyhead coast, and outlines the amazing construction of the world's longest breakwater, some 1.8 miles, which today protects the harbour. Visit the colourful marina with its yachts and tall ships, or the town's maritime museum, with its tales of 100 shipwrecks in the vicinity. Day trips to Ireland can be enjoyed easily from here, with Dublin just 90 minutes away on the fast ferry. With spectacular cliff top walks over Holyhead Mountain, golden sandy beaches at the award winning Trearddur Bay and the Snowdonia National Park just a 20 minute drive away, this is a superb holiday location, at any time of the year.
