  • "Our family had a great stay at Y Bolt cottage, despite a changeable weather."

The cottage is on the island but very close to the beach as well other places in North Wales. The cottage had everything we could think of, very pretty design and great views. Already recommended it to our friends and might return in the future!

  • "We absolutely loved our visit to Anglesey for the first week in September partly due to having 31 Degrees one day really good weather 5 other days and dull on our day for coming home."

Aside from that the property was superb every conceivable item was stored somewhere in the house we were amazed at the attention to detail by the Owner 19 pictures and nik naks even in the Downstairs Cloakroom. The House is very well kept and spotless. The area is ideal overlooking Red Wharf Bay which is viewed from all rear windows stunning. • "This property is clean and reasonably comfortable but unfortunately the traffic noise is too loud especially in the small bedroom."

  • "The cottage was on a busy road with high noise levels from traffic."

The hot water wasn't hot enough until we found the immersion heater. The late check-in time and early check-out time were unhelpful.

About the location

PENTRAETH

Red Wharf Bay 2 miles; Benllech 3 miles; Beaumaris 6 miles.

Pentraeth is a small attractive village on the banks of the River Nodwydd on the north-east coast of Anglesey. It has a village church that dates back to the 12th century and is located between Llanddona beach and Red Wharf Bay, which has over 4.5 miles of sandy beach. Red Wharf Bay’s Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and provides safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. The large bay attracts a huge number of waterfowl and wading birds, including shell duck, grey plover, purple sandpipers, curlew, oystercatchers and dunlin. Only 6 miles away is the delightful medieval town of Beaumaris which boasts a 13th century moated castle, excellent shops, pubs, restaurants, bistros and museums, as well as a golf course and exciting pleasure boat and sea fishing trips.
