  • "Absolutely loved our stay here."

We had no problem with the road noise. Was great to have 2 ensuite bathrooms and a downstairs toilet. Easy to go out and about. Would return.

A minor problem was dealt with quickly and efficiently by the owners. We had a great holiday and hope to be back soon!

We had a brilliant time and the weather was the best.

  • "This holiday cottage is a cut above most."

We could mention it being spotlessly clean and well equipped - but all that is eclipsed by the view through the window onto the patio! There was just the two of us, so space was not a problem. We only needed the rear bedroom which was comfy and quiet. Well situated on a main road it was easy to get around the island to enjoy its many beaches.

Thank you for your lovely feedback it's kind of you to take the time to do this for us thanks again Property Owner

Extremely well equipped. Fantastic view from lounge and back bedroom. Great to have 2 en-suite bedrooms. Good WiFi connection. Although close to road, noise not an issue. Really enjoyable stay, would definitely stay again.

  • "Beautiful home with everything you need, such a shame the only down side is the noise from the main road."

Sleeping in the back bedroom was quiet if you leave the window closed , but on saying that there is not as much traffic at night so did not disturb my sleep. All in all we had a lovely stay and the weather was good to us. Thank you to the owner

  • "Lovely place to stay in a great location with sea views from the sitting room, back (double) bedroom and pretty garden and the coastal path a 10-15 minute walk away."

I really enjoyed walking down to the Boathouse at Red Wharf bay (half hour walk) for breakfast or just coffee (they do an excellent oat cappuccino!) The house is very clean and nicely decorated with a jolly seaside theme and every home from home comfort is provided. Only downside is it's location right on the main road to Amlwyck. The noise does disturb an otherwise peaceful location. I had a wonderful week here regardless and for a family it would be great value for money.

  • "Our family had a great stay at Y Bolt cottage, despite a changeable weather."

The cottage is on the island but very close to the beach as well other places in North Wales. The cottage had everything we could think of, very pretty design and great views. Already recommended it to our friends and might return in the future!

The hot water wasn't hot enough until we found the immersion heater. The late check-in time and early check-out time were unhelpful.

About the location

PENTRAETH

Red Wharf Bay 2 miles; Benllech 3 miles; Beaumaris 6 miles.

Pentraeth is a small attractive village on the banks of the River Nodwydd on the north-east coast of Anglesey. It has a village church that dates back to the 12th century and is located between Llanddona beach and Red Wharf Bay, which has over 4.5 miles of sandy beach. Red Wharf Bay’s Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and provides safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. The large bay attracts a huge number of waterfowl and wading birds, including shell duck, grey plover, purple sandpipers, curlew, oystercatchers and dunlin. Only 6 miles away is the delightful medieval town of Beaumaris which boasts a 13th century moated castle, excellent shops, pubs, restaurants, bistros and museums, as well as a golf course and exciting pleasure boat and sea fishing trips. This is a great location on the east coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, yet only six minutes from the Britannia Bridge to access the mainland.
