  • "We found the cottage 'Bryn Bach' to be very homely and comfortable."

Everything we needed was provided in the lovely spacious kitchen. The beds were very comfy! And everywhere was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was great apart from an emerging mold problem on the bath surround and ceiling. However I can see this as an ongoing problem, due to the structure of the stone cottage, not the fault of the owners. I would have appreciated a handle on the bathroom wall to aid access to the shower. Only an elderly ladys opinion! Lol . Pentraeth is situated in a great location to visit all of Angleseys treasures and the North Wales coast. There was loads of info and maps provided in the cottage which was a great aid to our days out! Thanks. This cottage is the best we have visited, without a doubt, and we have to return because although we searched, we didn't find one Red Squirrel! We spent a couple of afternoons in the little garden with its shady space and lots of seating. Had to move when the insects started biting though! Thank you Julie and Steve for a wonderful stay in your lovely cottage!

  • "We had a wonderful week at Bryn Bach."

The location suited us as a place we could head out from for walks, we loved taking the path down to Red Wharf Bay. It was a great base to drive out to other places on the island - Benllech, Penmon Point and Beaumaris were some of our favourites. Facilities at the cottage were great - including a lovely garden for sunny breakfasts. The information left in the cottage was really useful as were the little notes explaining how things worked.

  • "Cottage is in a lovely location - there is a great pub just a few minutes walk with great choice of beer and lovely wood fired pizza."

We also walked to the coast from the house which was lovely. The cottage is a very old property and the owner has emphasised the need to air the upstairs particularly and despite doing this - we left windows open most of the day, didn't leave wet towels in there and propped the bathroom door open - the bathroom felt damp all week even though it was a dry week and the bathmat never seemed to dry. The kitchen is well stocked but some pasta bowls would be great. The sound on the TV seems to have been affected by previous people staying.

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate the efforts you made to ensure the cottage was aired by opening the windows. We plan to fit a more powerful extractor fan in the bathroom to try and reduce the humidity. Really pleased you enjoyed your stay in Pentraeth Property Owner

  • "Parking was tricky, also no phone signal which was a hassle we had a family member who was I’ll so we needed access to a phone signal."

If we were told before the booking we would have chosen another cottage, when we arrived the house felt a bit damp, other than that everything else was fine.

Hi Christine Thankyou for your feedback, it is helpful for us to understand everyone’s experience at the cottage. We are looking into why parking on the drive was tricky during your stay and will ensure easy access at all times in the future. We are aware that some mobile networks have poor signal at the cottage, sorry this caused hassle for you in your particular family circumstances. The Wifi is very good so many guests use “WhatsApp” messages and calls, Facebook messenger, emails etc. We realise this would be useful information at the time of booking. Thanks again for visiting “Bryn Bach” cottage Steve & Julie Property Owner

Space in the bedrooms and downstairs toilet was restricted .The lounge and kitchen were more than adequate. The sitting out area was good but not suitable for young children.(loose slate underfoot). About the location

PENTRAETH

Red Wharf Bay 2 miles; Benllech 3 miles; Beaumaris 6 miles.

Pentraeth is a small attractive village on the banks of the River Nodwydd on the north-east coast of Anglesey. It has a village church that dates back to the 12th century and is located between Llanddona beach and Red Wharf Bay, which has over 4.5 miles of sandy beach. Red Wharf Bay’s Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and provides safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. The large bay attracts a huge number of waterfowl and wading birds, including shell duck, grey plover, purple sandpipers, curlew, oystercatchers and dunlin. Only 6 miles away is the delightful medieval town of Beaumaris which boasts a 13th century moated castle, excellent shops, pubs, restaurants, bistros and museums, as well as a golf course and exciting pleasure boat and sea fishing trips. This is a great location on the east coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, yet only six minutes from the Britannia Bridge to access the mainland.
