  • "The purpose of this holiday was to research wife's family tree."

..The villagers were very friendly and informative. She was invited to attend the village history group who provided further information. The only criticism we had was the local Chinese take away which supplied us with a Chinese meal which was truly terrible....unrecognisable from any Chinese food we have ever experienced before. We threw the lot away.

This lovely cottage is located on a quiet side road with shops and pubs only five minutes' walk and within a mile of the coast, ideal for a small family to get away from it all.

This delightful cottage is accessed through a small courtyard garden, into a spacious hallway with ample room for coats, boots and dogs.

The dining room is down one step and forms the hub of the home for socialising around a home-cooked meal, with the sitting room leading off to the left, warmed by a woodburner as well as full central heating, ensuring that you will be comfy throughout your stay.

The kitchen, to the rear of the cottage, has been equipped with all your needs and offers access out onto the patio courtyard.

Upstairs the family bathroom is stylish and contemporary with a bath and shower over, and a designer round glass wash basin.

The spacious master bedroom offers a king-size bed whilst the single bedroom provides a cosy room for children to make their own.

There is a small enclosed courtyard where you can relax with a refreshing drink whilst planning your days out, before strolling into the village to the local pub.

This attractive cottage is in an excellent location to reach the coast in a few minutes’ walk, whilst the beach at Red Wharf Bay can be reached along a path, within about 25 minutes, making it a perfect base for your family holiday.

About the location

Red Wharf Bay 2 miles; Benllech 3 miles; Beaumaris 6 miles.

Pentraeth is a small attractive village on the banks of the River Nodwydd on the north-east coast of Anglesey. It has a village church that dates back to the 12th century and is located between Llanddona beach and Red Wharf Bay, which has over 4.5 miles of sandy beach. Red Wharf Bay’s Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and provides safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. The large bay attracts a huge number of waterfowl and wading birds, including shell duck, grey plover, purple sandpipers, curlew, oystercatchers and dunlin. Only 6 miles away is the delightful medieval town of Beaumaris which boasts a 13th century moated castle, excellent shops, pubs, restaurants, bistros and museums, as well as a golf course and exciting pleasure boat and sea fishing trips. This is a great location on the east coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, yet only six minutes from the Britannia Bridge to access the mainland.
