  • "We stayed at The Meadows for our New Year break for 4 nights , the whole house was spotless and a good size for us ."

The bedrooms were spacious however the back double bedroom bed and pillows were very uncomfortable . The kitchen could do with better lighting as we found it hard to cook once it had gone dark . The hot tub was lovely , clean and warm but could do with a cover as we could only use once due to it bouncing down with rain. Apart from those few issues we had a lovely stay and would return , thank you .

The house is perfectly situated in Pentreath with easy access to anywhere on the island.and a very lovely walk down to the beach. We will use this house again thankyou again for a very welcoming stay

Everything that we needed throughout the holiday was to hand. It was a great base for us to explore the sights of Anglesey. Would definitely return in the future.

The only comment we would make is that the hot water was far too hot. potentially dangerous for small children.

  • "The Meadows is a fantastic house in a quiet place."

It swallowed 10 of us with ease. Plenty of space to run around in the garden. The Table Tennis proved very popular with the children. Everything was wonderful we never once wanted anything that we couldn’t find, even compostable bags for food waste. It truly is a wonderful homely place to be. It helped that we were blessed with warm sunny days all week. June 2023.

  • "The Meadows was ideal for the 8 of us, exceptionally well equipped & an ideal location."

There are a couple of minor areas that could be improved upon - the single bed mattresses are not comfortable & 2 settees in the living room are worn & could do with repadding or replacing. Regardless of the slight negative aspects, we had a lovely time & woukd highly recommend the Meadows.

  • "This was an excellent base for our 3 generational family holiday - plenty of space, warm, comfortable, well equipped and great the kids could be weaned off their computers to play table tennis and enjoy the hot tub when we were in."

It's in easy reach of some exceptionally beautiful places - beaches, castles, gardens and a wonderful part of the world for birds and wildlife - on a walk through the woods we saw two red squirrels. Wonderful.

  • "We had a great weekend."

Plus points are: Lots of parking Great layout in the house, plenty of space, bathrooms etc. Well equipped kitchen - and utility Was really clean Close to the beach, pub and takeaway It was lovely and warm Things which could be better; The oven wasn’t great and the temperature wasn’t consistent. We had planned to cook a roast on the Sunday but decided not too as we didn’t think the oven was capable of it. The decorators turned up on the Monday after the weekend at 6.10am as the owners assumed we weren’t staying the final night. Hot tub was good, but has some parts which need securing. Our review would have been higher had the decorators not shown up.

Our only issue was with the 5pm book in which we feel is to late . Also as a large group we decided to pay more for our accommodation- we did not expect to have to strip our own beds !!

Plenty of room and seating area in living room. Beds very comfortable. Felt it would benefit from a bigger fridge or an extra small fridge in utility room. We had lots of food that needed to be refrigerated. A few things looking tired - sofas, en-suite shower. Overall we had a great stay, nice weather and nice beaches near by. Thanks

About the location

Red Wharf Bay 2 miles; Benllech 3 miles; Beaumaris 6 miles.

Pentraeth is a small attractive village on the banks of the River Nodwydd on the north-east coast of Anglesey. It has a village church that dates back to the 12th century and is located between Llanddona beach and Red Wharf Bay, which has over 4.5 miles of sandy beach. Red Wharf Bay’s Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and provides safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. The large bay attracts a huge number of waterfowl and wading birds, including shell duck, grey plover, purple sandpipers, curlew, oystercatchers and dunlin. Only 6 miles away is the delightful medieval town of Beaumaris which boasts a 13th century moated castle, excellent shops, pubs, restaurants, bistros and museums, as well as a golf course and exciting pleasure boat and sea fishing trips. This is a great location on the east coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, yet only six minutes from the Britannia Bridge to access the mainland.
