  • "We had a great week in Anglesey and the cottage was a perfect base for exploring the area."

The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped and was managed to a high standard. We would highly recommend this cottage to family and friends and hope to return our selves one day.

The pictures on the website don't do the cottage justice, its lovely. Well equipped with everything that we could need. The owner was a good communicator, helpful and friendly. We would definitely like to stay again.

  • "We like to travel around, so when we say this is the only place we've been to twice you can see that we rate it highly."

The spacious facilities are absolutely fab. The only thing that we missed this visit was our chats with the owner - but that's covid for you. The only tiny suggestion is that some basic instructions for the various electricals would be handy. A digest in a wipe-down laminated form might work. Oh, and a tea-strainer. Trust us, you will enjoy your stay here.

Nice & quiet. Small touring site (5 caravan spaces) around the back but only one lovely couple there over the weekend of the week we were there so no disturbance at all. Excellent free wifi. Very warm gas 'log burner'. Lots of lovely led ambient lighting in bedrooms & ensuite. Gorgeous bathrooms. No private outside space at the back but a big patio at the front with table, chairs, recliners & a bbq - not that we needed them on a rainy October week! Outside taps, warm & cold water in case of dog :) Gary, the owner very helpful when needed. Would definitely recommend!

  • "Lovely holiday bungalow, with some great features in the house, very roomy and a lot of time has been spent on detail ."

The big down side for us was we didnt realise how close the caravans were pitched behind the house, the pictures in the description gave us the impression there would be a garden,/ grass area for the kids to play, this was not the case. There is no grass area as two caravans were permanently parked there. I would not of minded so much if there were blinds on the back windows In the hall and dining room Felt very open to people nosing in on the dining room and the hall way which they often did as they walked round the house. You have to use hall if you need to go to the bathroom or kitchen, found myself having to wrap up in lots of clothes in fear I'd was being watched as I walked to bathroom at night. This would put me off going to the accomation again until proper blind or curtains were installed on these windows.

The cottage was in a wonderful position, inside exceeded our expectations and was even better than we imagined it would be. Comfortable, warm, plenty of space and extremely well equipped. Plenty of parking and with a lovely space for outdoor dining and sitting when the weather is favourable. We were in an ideal position to visit the many attractions in the area and for eating out. Delighted to have chosen this cottage, the owner was friendly and accessible should he be needed. We would gladly stay here again, and indeed book through Sykes.

The property

This gorgeous barn conversion is set down a secluded lane, surrounded by rolling countryside, on the outskirts of Pentre Berw and just over 1 mile from the adjoining small village of Gaerwen, on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey.

This lovely cottage is perfect for families or friends wishing to explore this beautiful part of Wales.

This delightful, detached cottage is along a drive which leads to a feature wishing well and turning circle in front of the cottage, from which steps lead down to a large sun trap patio area where you can enter into either the sitting room or stylish kitchen.

The ceiling in the sitting room is a high gable, emphasising the generous proportions of the room, which is furnished with a cosy gas log-effect stove as well as designer radiators throughout.

The dining room is flooded with sunshine in the morning, and the doors can be opened onto the rear countryside.

Along with the rest of the cottage, the kitchen is well-finished and modern with a good selection of appliances, ensuring you will not be short of anything on your holiday.

A door off the sitting room leads to a central hallway with office desk, and provides access to a super king-size double which can be a twin room on request and family bathroom, and the master bedroom with its luxury en-suite bathroom with walk-in power shower and double ended bath.

A hidden mirror door in the run of fitted wardrobes in the master bedroom reveals a further 2'6" twin bedroom which can be a king-size double, ideal as a secret retreat for young children, teenagers and adults alike.

There is modern colour changing LED lighting which creates a waterfall effect of light in the main bedroom and its en-suite and the hidden twin room, accentuating the beautiful exposed truss and beams.

Outside, the cottage is surrounded by countryside, with a large private patio where you can sit and relax with a refreshing drink or dine alfresco using the barbecue.

The cottage is adjacent to five touring caravan pitches, ideal for friends to use whilst visiting perhaps, and ample private secure parking and turning makes it ideal for anyone visiting the nearby Ynys Mon Anglesey racing track, with or without race cars, vans and trailers.

For those with electric vehicles, a free EV charging point is available to get you recharged and ready to go.

Public foot/cyclepaths lead from the end of the drive opening up walks to the coast at Maltraeth and on to Newborough Forest and allowing beaches, reputed to be the best on the island.

This well-maintained path also takes you to the main market town of Llangefni.

At such a wonderful cottage you won't want to venture far, but there are many activities in the area, if you do choose to explore.
