The property

The Old Windmill is a Grade II listed converted flour mill dating back to the 1780s, overlooking the unspoilt Isle of Anglesey from the village of Gaerwen.

With fabulous towns, gorgeous countryside and idyllic coastline on your doorstep, this quirky getaway is the perfect base for a unique break with your family and friends.

An extension has been built at the base of the original windmill, which conveniently hosts a delightful king-size bedroom, leading to an en-suite built around the original building.

The modern extension, graced with rustic slate flooring, also offers a contemporary sitting room with up-to-date sofas, a stunning gas fire and a TV with Freeview to sit and watch when you're not out exploring this wondrous island.

Found through a whitewashed stone archway is the beautiful kitchen/diner, equipped with all that you will need and a charming dining table set for six.

From here, an open tread staircase presents you with a mezzanine open plan double bedroom, whilst another set of stairs brings you to a open cosy twin room.

The Old Windmill's finest feature sits upon the third floor, this incredible sitting area with a breakfast bar showcases breath-taking panoramic views of the countryside and coastline of this wonderful island - a heavenly spot to sit and enjoy an evening drink or two.

Surrounding the property is a well-maintained lawn, perfect for the dogs and children to run and play on whilst you enjoy some quiet time appreciating the view from the patio furniture.

Gaerwen enjoys a fantastic central location as it provides a lovely pub, a convenience store and a Chinese takeaway.

There is not much you cannot do on Anglesey, from the magnificent town of Beaumaris with its castle to the reams of undulating countryside and picturesque coastline bursting with beaches and coves to explore.

Head over one of the two dramatic bridges towards mainland Wales where you can find the popular tourist spots of Bangor and Caernarfon, as well as the Snowdonia National Park.

Come and stay at The Old Windmill for an Anglesey break that you will never forget.
