  • "Cannot fault this property, everything you could need for a great week away."

  • "The cottage is very spacious and in a clean and tidy condition."

We have enjoyed the place very much and having a home-cooked dinner next to the fireplace in the dining room facing the garden with friends made the whole day more enjoyable. plenty of parking places also helped as we had three cars for the trip. The location of the cottage is also very good and extremely close to cooper mountain which is definitely worth of visit. If anything to suggest for an easier stay is that cottage could provide a bit more dishwasher tablet during our stay. we have booked the cottage for 5 nights but only two dishwasher tablets were provided.

  • "Lovely property situated in a great spot in Amlwch, rooms were comfortable and clean, we were 2 families with children ranging from 1 to 11 there was plenty of space for everyone to move around and the older children loved the very well stocked play room upstairs!"

The kitchen was lovely and the dining table in the conservatory really worked, the garden was a joy, so many butterflies and bees it was very relaxing to watch. All in all a lovely trip was had by all and would definitely come back!

Thank you for the lovely review Karen. Just FYI, we're having the house repainted internally at the end of October. Hope we can host you again soon. Property Owner

  • "The pictures of Ger y Felin really don’t do it justice."

All the rooms, including bathrooms are a good size and the whole house overall Is spacious and very well presented. We spent most of our time sat at the dining table in the large conservatory, next to the open kitchen, as it is so lovely in there. The garden is very nice too with plenty of seating. We didn’t use the large games room but I can imagine children, especially teenagers would love it. There is not a lot in Amlwch apart from the port. Unfortunately, Copper Kingdom at the port is closed due to Covid. Amlwch town centre is small and not much going for it, though the large Co-op was very useful to us. Also recommend the cafe in town for a full Welsh breakfast - plentiful and delicious. However just short drive away In both directions are some lovely bays. Although Amlwch itself is lacking appeal, Ger y Felin is a great base to tour this beautiful island and there are some lovely little towns and bays just a short drive in both directions.

The cottage had everything we needed. Due to the time of year we were not able to take advantage of the beautiful garden which would be great for a barbecue. Great games room for children/teenagers. I would throughly recommend this property.

Grandparents' bedroom upstairs, rest of family downstairs. Had everything we needed for our family of 7 aged from 3 and 72 and once we had realised we needed to shut the front gate the dog was free to roam as well. Shops and places to visit all within short driving distances. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

All items seem to be provided and hard to think of anything untoward. Amlwch has all the basic requirements apart from a decent pub.Happy to know if we missed a gem in town. Very central with Benllech to Holyhead both within 20 to 25 minutes and all points in between. Give it a try the house is very comfortable.

  • "The holiday cottage was great I felt that booking through Sykes was not so, had to change the dates due to school holidays and Sykes didn’t make it easy and took ages to confirm anything I had to do all the chasing."

£55 booking fee not actually sure what Sykes do for that, the owners were much more helpful.

  • "A large spacious house with excellent facilities - as there were just the two of us we only used the ground floor - but even with 8 people there would be plenty of space for everyone and great to have so many bath/shower rooms."

We thoroughly enjoyed our week accessing the coastal path, local lanes the port and Parys Mountain. Lots of scenic paths to explore. The only niggle was that the garden was not totally enclosed and given we have a large, inquisitive dog had to ensure he stay on a long line tethered to a tree - but given he was well worn out after 10/15 miles of walking each day it wasn't a major issue!
